Considering how many and who were outed, ruined, etc., by the McCarthy hearings when communism was a fledgling mess, it's disappointing, now that they're being outspoken about it, downright criminal about it, that none of that is happening now. Have we become TOO tolerant? It's time the pendulum swung back to some down-home, out-and-out American clean up. The deeper issue here may be legitimacy. Once a large enough share of the country believes elections, courts, agencies, media, and even prosecutions are simply weapons wielded by whichever faction controls them, ordinary political disagreement becomes almost impossible.

I would agree the U.S. Constitution is a great document - perhaps the greatest of history, outlining a fair and just way of government and protecting/ensuring the most individual rights in a society vs. any other form of government.

With the potential of great changes and conflict ahead this fall, I can't help but wonder what distracting psyop(s) might be in the pipeline for us. It was only 26 years ago the Presidential election teetered on the edge of chaos before Gore drew the short straw in Florida. I can't see anything like that respect for the process repeating this fall or in two years if an election is close.

Agree that American traditions and values are worth fighting for (I think that's what you're saying), but you can't do that unless the country is intact, so you have to be willing to protect the borders (quite literally). We already had another Pearl Harbor on 9/11 and we did fight against that---perhaps not as satisfying when your enemy is de-centralized, but we didn't hesitate. I have sworn an oath to the constitution, and to protect if from all enemies, foreign and domestic. So, I'll gladly take it to the commies wherever I can find them, and around here you don't need to look far! It's a pleasant pastime to sit here on a lazy Saturday afternoon in this great country, enjoying the luxury of being able to banter back and forth with random folk, some way smarter than others.
You didn't ask, but I'll share with you anyway my definition of "Patriotism". You owe it to all the Patriots that came before you to pay attention to my explanation. And it's more like a 'description" instead of a "definition."
I live in a neighborhood in a certain community in Texas. I have neighbors and fellow residents of the city whose fathers and mothers knew each other way back in the 20's 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, etc. You get the point. We go three, sometimes 4 generations back.
Several of these old timers were decorated World War II vets, and one of them was my Mexican-American father in law. When my father in law turned 17 in 1941 or 42, he lied about his age and said he was 18 so he could join the Army and get free travel and training to go to Europe and fuck up Nazis anywhere he could drop his bombs on them. He was a bottom-turret gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress that flew 15 or so suicide missions deep over German territory before his plane had to ditch in the English Channel on the way back from a bombing run But he survived that, made it back to his unit, and caught the next flight out to Germany, again as a bottom turret gunner on a different Flying Fortress.
After several successful suicide missions, he was finally shot down, and was one of only two crew members out of 14 that managed to jump out of the Flying Fortress that had half a wing shot off, before it crashed and burned deep in Germany.
He was declared MIA for a year, but in reality he had become a German POW for a few months. Everyone back in the 'hood still mourned him because there was a 99.99% chance he was dead.
So what's the point of all this, you ask? From the tone of your comment, I surmised that your definition of Patriot is different than mine, so I'll explain my definition-- I think you should pay extra attention.
My father was also a Patriot, he and a couple of his brothers all went off to fight in Korea and WWII in the Japanese theater. Myself? If I had to, I would die defending the 2nd Amendment, among other things. (Almost every single able-bodied male left in my neighborhood has a collection of firearms and survival gear that would give the local PD envy.)
All my law-abiding, 3rd generation Patriot-neighborhood buddies like me watch out for each other and we are ready to jump 24/7 if our neighborhood airspace is violated by a threat to our peace or well-being.
And we are not alone-- this same situation occurs all across Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, and other states. Between all of us, there's probably 60 million AR-15s and AR-10s and accompanying gear and bug-out bags and rucks. Being a Patriot means that any one of us in Missouri or in Texas, or Louisiana, would help our neighbors defend their home and hearth if they need us to, because this country represents a series of neighborhoods where Patriots and their families live and prosper, and as long as I'm breathing and can shoot straight, I'll defend my country from invaders-- domestic and foreign, along with all the other few million brothers that think like I do, and like my father in law- the bottom turret gunner did.
So if you need someone to define what "Patriot" means, Cedric, you've already lost the battle if you're not capable of understanding, in your heart, the sacrifices a Patriot is capable of enduring to defend his country and fellow Patriot brothers.

Then the same ”lack of standing” charges were used by the courts to stonewall AFTER the elections because it was too late to correct any damages. There was no winning here EXCEPT for the cheaters.

The moment of birth is the moment the infant passes fully through the birth canal into the external world. During a normal head-first delivery there are typically two hold-ups. The first is the head needing to pass through the vaginal outlet. The second is the shoulders needing to pass through the vaginal outlet. Presumably, in Massachussets a full-term infant can now be killed when the head is outside of the mother but the body is still in the birth canal.

I think of other countries with many parties and how they get anything done. Making coalitions make majority rule possible. Then I look at the condition of our polity in the Congress and it makes me sick. There are no inter-party coalitions here and the ability to compromise is gone because of it.

I would agree the U.S. Constitution is a great document - perhaps the greatest of history, outlining a fair and just way of government and protecting/ensuring the most individual rights in a society vs. any other form of government.
But it requires diligence of the citizens to keep it from being hijacked by nefarious characters. With the potential of great changes and conflict ahead this fall, I can't help but wonder what distracting psyop(s) might be in the pipeline for us. It was only 26 years ago the Presidential election teetered on the edge of chaos before Gore drew the short straw in Florida. I can't see anything like that respect for the process repeating this fall or in two years if an election is close.
And 25 years ago the event that started the whole process of connecting the dots and realizing how things really work in the world happened; 9-11. It would hardly be surprising to see a project on that scale unleashed to distract from voter reforms and Covid crimes. A market crash comes to mind.....

Agree that American traditions and values are worth fighting for (I think that's what you're saying), but you can't do that unless the country is intact, so you have to be willing to protect the borders (quite literally). We already had another Pearl Harbor on 9/11 and we did fight against that---perhaps not as satisfying when your enemy is de-centralized, but we didn't hesitate. I have sworn an oath to the constitution, and to protect if from all enemies, foreign and domestic. So, I'll gladly take it to the commies wherever I can find them, and around here you don't need to look far! I'm not worried about AI, but if you're talking about actually fighting against it (what does that even mean---blowing up data centers?), what's the point? Everyone everywhere is developing it. It's a pleasant pastime to sit here on a lazy Saturday afternoon in this great country, enjoying the luxury of being able to banter back and forth with random folk, some way smarter than others.
You didn't ask, but I'll share with you anyway my definition of "Patriotism". You owe it to all the Patriots that came before you to pay attention to my explanation. And it's more like a 'description" instead of a "definition."
I live in a neighborhood in a certain community in Texas. I have neighbors and fellow residents of the city whose fathers and mothers knew each other way back in the 20's 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, etc. You get the point. We go three, sometimes 4 generations back.
Several of these old timers were decorated World War II vets, and one of them was my Mexican-American father in law. When my father in law turned 17 in 1941 or 42, he lied about his age and said he was 18 so he could join the Army and get free travel and training to go to Europe and fuck up Nazis anywhere he could drop his bombs on them. He was a bottom-turret gunner in a B-17 Flying Fortress that flew 15 or so suicide missions deep over German territory before his plane had to ditch in the English Channel on the way back from a bombing run But he survived that, made it back to his unit, and caught the next flight out to Germany, again as a bottom turret gunner on a different Flying Fortress.
After several successful suicide missions, he was finally shot down, and was one of only two crew members out of 14 that managed to jump out of the Flying Fortress that had half a wing shot off, before it crashed and burned deep in Germany.
He was declared MIA for a year, but in reality he had become a German POW for a few months. Everyone back in the 'hood still mourned him because there was a 99.99% chance he was dead.
So what's the point of all this, you ask? From the tone of your comment, I surmised that your definition of Patriot is different than mine, so I'll explain my definition-- I think you should pay extra attention.
My father was also a Patriot, he and a couple of his brothers all went off to fight in Korea and WWII in the Japanese theater. Myself? If I had to, I would die defending the 2nd Amendment, among other things. (Almost every single able-bodied male left in my neighborhood has a collection of firearms and survival gear that would give the local PD envy.)
All my law-abiding, 3rd generation Patriot-neighborhood buddies like me watch out for each other and we are ready to jump 24/7 if our neighborhood airspace is violated by a threat to our peace or well-being.
And we are not alone-- this same situation occurs all across Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, and other states. Between all of us, there's probably 60 million AR-15s and AR-10s and accompanying gear and bug-out bags and rucks. Being a Patriot means that any one of us in Missouri or in Texas, or Louisiana, would help our neighbors defend their home and hearth if they need us to, because this country represents a series of neighborhoods where Patriots and their families live and prosper, and as long as I'm breathing and can shoot straight, I'll defend my country from invaders-- domestic and foreign, along with all the other few million brothers that think like I do, and like my father in law- the bottom turret gunner did.
So if you need someone to define what "Patriot" means, Cedric, you've already lost the battle if you're not capable of understanding, in your heart, the sacrifices a Patriot is capable of enduring to defend his country and fellow Patriot brothers.

Then the same ”lack of standing” charges were used by the courts to stonewall AFTER the elections because it was too late to correct any damages. There was no winning here EXCEPT for the cheaters.
What happened during the 2020 selections by the padding of 100’s of thousands of Biden votes at the last minute with nearly zero Trump votes was a statistical impossibility. Math is hard for the dimwits that don’t use it and that still insist the elections were the fairest in history (LOL, when were they less fair?). I think of other countries with many parties and how they get anything done. Making coalitions make majority rule possible. Then I look at the condition of our polity in the Congress and it makes me sick. There are no inter-party coalitions here and the ability to compromise is gone because of it.

Well...I'm a total anti-Trump guy so will never probably actually like what Kunstler has to say...but the phoning it in part is certainly something I can 100% agree with. To me, it's like he has about 30 trigger terms (communist, Obama, Fauci, etc.) these days and creates an article to employ everyone of them regardless of whether it makes sense in the context of the current news cycle.
The thing that bothers and concerns me most recently is almost every article mentions violence.
