How long did it take to accumulate the debt? It will take twice as long to reduce it if even possible.
Check and see what % of the spending is discretionary, ie not part of programs feeding it back to the people. It is very low, meaning that nothing politically can be done about the amount spent. Give the power back to the Dems and they will spend ten times as much.

A debt jubilee will also give incentive for lenders to stop lending money to those who cannot pay it back. Our society, our world, is being crushed and pulverized due to this massive debt. Ben, I lived in Australia for a few years and I had made an acquaintance who was a taxi cab driver in the Perth metro area. He would often tell me of the dregs he had to chauffeur around the City. He told me one such story that made me sick to my stomach. He said that he picked up two obviously well to do business men from Japan or China who had just arrived at Perth Airport and when the two business men entered his car they asked him to take them to a good whore house. Yes, they exist in Australia. Say that we did take out the 5 trillion dollar increase, what will happen? Seeing as both of you are TDS, you probably think that the effort to get fraud out of Medicaid is a bad thing, right? So let us for example allow the fraud to continue, how much will that add to the deficit? How about all the other cutbacks? The net effect of the BBB is to reverse the rate of increase of spending. It is an indicator of how much trouble we are in that even with the DOGE cutbacks, and the decrease in spending rates in the BBB, we are still flying into more and more debt. How long did it take to accumulate the debt? It will take twice as long to reduce it if even possible.
Check and see what % of the spending is discretionary, ie not part of programs feeding it back to the people. It is very low, meaning that nothing politically can be done about the amount spent. Give the power back to the Dems and they will spend ten times as much.

As a former Director of the Santa Fe County Growth Management Department for almost 20 years, I was in charge of all planning and zoning activities in the County and find it quite interesting that nothing is being said about, or reported about, Wexner/Epstein's Zorro Ranch activities (In Santa Fe County but now sold to an AZ ranch owner). I can assure you that much went on there, even though all County staff were told to stay away and let them do whatever they wanted. The property was originally sold to them by Governor King's family and highly guarded during the Richardson years. Many high-profile people came and went to Zorro Ranch and there is much hidden...to this day. Just wondering. I am not sure we will ever know what really happened with Epstein and who really participated in his services but it sure seems that someone with a lot of stroke was in pics with a goat or many under age girls. Otherwise all of the files would already be released. At least some of these people must have fairly close ties with Trump or he would not have decided to resist the light of day on all the docs. If underage girls were involved all the data should be released and let the chips fall where they may. And although I have never been one of those who constantly describe Trump as a "4D chess player," I am now not unwilling to believe, as you have suggested, that this Epstein deal is actually a sophisticated ploy concocted by Trump to embarrass his enemies.
