I don't know if the video is still on the internet, but a couple of years ago a mob of protesters, after rampaging in Spokane, announced their intention to move on to Coure d'Alene, Idaho. When they rolled into town in their white vans they were greeted by a few hundred residents that were armed to the teeth. One protester got out of his van with a big hammer in his hand and made some menacing gestures. A defender with a rifle slung across his chest, a pistol on his hip, and a shotgun in his hands calmly walked up to the protester and took the hammer from him. He got back in his van and the procession of vans left town. No matches were struck and no windows smashed. I don't know whether there were any further assaults on Coure d'Alene, but I doubt it.

Okay, no valid emergencies. What exactly would you call a valid emergency.

The Left is murdering people, tearing down cities, thumbing their nose at the Law, misinforming the American public, over and over. You might feel different if you had kids that were constantly under the influence of the drug and crime lords, also of the Left.

I do not understand why the “Bosses” are not prosecuted, the billionaires driving the Leftist ship. George Soros and the Rockefeller’s would be a great start.

Posse Comitatus is a joke. It was conceived post Civil War to stop the Northern military from continuing to invade the South. It has nothing to do with today other than trying to excuse the travesty the Left now displays. The officers of this country, including the military take an oath to protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. It is the truth that America faces more serious enemies domestically than foreign. For the preservation of the Constitution, the military should be fighting the crime families and the Antifa movements, screw the idiotic Posse Comitatus. If it takes temporary federal control to stop the invasion of the USA by foreign crime, so be it. The alternative is chaos. Just look around at history, lots of regimes descending into chaos to their destruction. Look at JHK’s picture today, it is the Left trying to destroy America using globalism and the resultant importation of crime to do the job.

'The Left is murdering people (yeah Who ?), tearing down cities (yeah which ?), thumbing their nose at the Law, misinforming the American public, over and over.' Sorry friend it's the lying Republicans who constantly misinform and mislead the American Public. Just like this government shutdown. All the Dems want is an extension of the ACA tax credits and a reversal of the severe Medicaid cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill. But the Republicans mislead. Sorry, the government cannot afford any more medical giveaways as Obamacare and Medicaid have turned out to be. Both are bankrupt in a few years, what would you do about it then when there is no medical assistance programs left because of over expenditures. There were no cuts anyway, just removal of people that do not warrant Medicaid. I do not want to discuss the biggest lie this side of the Vaxx, Obamacare.

The proof of the pudding of the Gimme attitude of America, and obviously you, is the $37 trillion debt that has been accumulated. What exactly is your solution for the debt? To have even More spending?

I was heading out to Newsome Land next week to visit some national parks in that state. Thanks to Chuck Shumer and the fucking Democrats for screwing up my vacation plans. Sons of bitches. God I hate politicians. There has never been a more worthless human being than a politician. Period. Lawyers are close but politicians are more worthless.

It's time for a new Congress. A congress that is selected through a bi-annual draft of net tax paying native born US citizens. Drafted for one Congressional 2 year term of service. They attend 1 three month legislative session, are paid a stipend for their time, pass a budget, consider new legislation if necessary, and then go home, back to their jobs.

Congress should NOT be a full time career position for leaches and grifters who do nothing but cause serious issues and inflict harm on the people of this nation.

Again, Americans should be pissing razorblades in anger at the colossal failure that is the US congress. The States could unite and make the changes under Article 5 of the US Constitution but the state politicians can't pull their heads out of their own asses long enough to unite and do anything either.

Partisan politics have destroyed the USA and turned this nation into a global laughing stock. If only Shumer and the all the other 535 assholes that populate the US Congress actually knew and understood how much the people hate and despise them they wouldn't be walking around with that smug "I'm important so worship me" look on their pudgy faces.

I dare anyone on this comment thread to tell me what the US Congress has done lately that has benefitted them personally. Anyone???? Seriously. I can't think of anything.

The Middle East is convoluted by the Quran whose zealous followers will do anything to kill Jews (and the rest of us) to promote Islam around the world. Jesus taught to convert people’s heart through love and compassion, Mohammed taught and wrote to convert people’s heart through war and taxation. As long as Shia, ie zealous Islam exists, there will be war.

Wow! Does that say it all?

Then: "If a society continues to need hospitals, this is a sign that its revolution has failed."

You are very astute in your comment as I feel that so few see through this blatant corruption. I have to force myself to stop with this comment as I could go on forever quoting from Illich's remarkable book. "Does Western big money and the oligarchs control the Chinese leadership too, and India's, and Russia's, or just the US and the West?" ~ SocratesDetroit

AI Overview

BRICS fund their projects primarily through the New Development Bank (NDB), which raises capital from member countries and international markets, and by issuing bonds in local currencies to fund infrastructure and sustainable development projects in emerging economies. The NDB also offers loans and guarantees, and a guarantee fund is being established to attract more private capital and share investment risks. Additionally, the BRICS group has the Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA), a common fund among member central banks to provide support during currency crises.

Sources of Funding

New Development Bank (NDB):

Member Contributions: The NDB receives capital from its expanding membership, which includes original BRICS countries and newer members like Bangladesh, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.

International Markets: The bank also raises funds by issuing bonds in international markets and in local currencies to diversify its funding sources and reduce reliance on the U.S. dollar.

Guarantees: The NDB provides loans, guarantees, and other financial mechanisms to support development projects.

Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA):

This is a common fund established by BRICS central banks to offer financial support to member countries facing balance of payments issues. The initial funding for the CRA was $100 billion.

Guarantee Fund:

A new guarantee fund is being established to enhance the NDB's impact, attract more private capital, and share risks among stakeholders, increasing the flow of investment into emerging economies.

Funding Mechanisms & Goals

Infrastructure & Sustainable Development:

The NDB's mandate is to finance infrastructure and sustainable development projects in emerging and developing countries.

Local Currency Financing:

By issuing bonds in local currencies, the NDB helps to reduce currency risks for borrowers and diversify its funding beyond the U.S. dollar.

Private Sector Access:

The NDB has expanded its focus to fund private sector initiatives, including projects for small and medium-sized enterprises.

South-South Cooperation:

BRICS funding initiatives, particularly the NDB, aim to promote South-South cooperation by increasing the financial sovereignty of Southern countries and fostering alternative development financing.

********

My guess is that their grip on power is coming to an end.

"Does Western big money and the oligarchs control the Chinese leadership too, and India's, and Russia's, or just the US and the West?" ~ SocratesDetroit

AI Overview

Western big money and local oligarchs exert varying degrees of influence on governments in the US, China, India, and Russia, but through very different mechanisms and with differing levels of direct control. The idea that one group centrally controls all these disparate political systems is not supported by evidence.

United States and the West

In Western countries like the U.S., billionaires and large corporations influence politics through legal and semi-legal means that can amount to a functional oligarchy.

Lobbying and campaign donations: Wealthy individuals and corporations spend vast amounts on lobbying and super PACs to influence policy and elect candidates who align with their interests.

Legal immunity: Existing laws legitimize lobbying and campaign donations, and regulatory capture allows the wealthy to operate with minimal fear of consequences.

Policy outcomes: Studies indicate that the preferences of wealthy Americans and business groups have a far greater impact on political decisions than those of average citizens.

China

The relationship between wealth and power in China is vastly different from that in the West, with the Communist Party (CCP) firmly in control.

State over elites: Unlike Western systems where economic elites exert pressure from outside, China's authoritarian system subordinates business interests to the government.

Political connections for wealth: Business elites often gain advantages by leveraging their political connections, but the CCP ensures they do not exert direct control over leadership. Membership in the CCP provides a pathway to higher wealth accumulation.

Foreign influence: While U.S. corporations have historically lobbied the U.S. government on China's behalf to gain market access, Beijing maintains a cautious approach to foreign influence. Chinese officials view foreign interests as a potential threat and have become increasingly vigilant against foreign ideology.

India

In India, a form of "crony capitalism" links the country's political and business elites, but the influence of Western money is filtered through this system.

Local oligarchs' influence: Domestic industrialists and a small number of billionaires are alleged to have easy access to the government and sway policy decisions, often in exchange for funding.

Political parties: Wealthy candidates are often favored by political parties because they can finance expensive campaigns, resulting in a compromised system where politicians may not represent voter interests.

Foreign influence: Western investment enters the Indian market but operates within a political landscape shaped by domestic elites.

Russia

Russia's political-economic system is a kleptocracy, where wealth is heavily dependent on proximity and loyalty to the state.

State control over oligarchs: Russian oligarchs amassed their wealth during the chaotic privatizations of the 1990s, with encouragement from Western economists. However, since the 2000s, Vladimir Putin has consolidated power by subjugating the oligarchs to the state.

The price of dissent: While Russian oligarchs in the 1990s could influence policy, those who have challenged Putin, like Mikhail Khodorkovsky, have faced imprisonment or exile.

Western financial ties: Despite state control within Russia, many oligarchs have moved their wealth to Western financial centers. These funds are used to expand Russian influence abroad but are also vulnerable to sanctions, as seen following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine

AI Overview

Yes, central banks of BRICS member countries are associated with other central banks through formal global financial institutions, BRICS-specific mechanisms, and various bilateral arrangements. Although BRICS nations aim to provide alternatives to the Western-dominated global financial system, they remain connected to it in multiple ways.

Global financial system

BRICS member central banks participate in the established international financial architecture.

International Monetary Fund (IMF): BRICS nations, including their central banks, participate in the IMF. For example, in 2012 they pledged $75 billion to boost the IMF's lending capacity, though this was conditioned on voting reforms. The BRICS Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA) is also designed to complement existing international financial arrangements.

Bank for International Settlements (BIS): Some BRICS countries are members of BIS, an international organization that serves as a bank for central banks. For example, in 2024, Saudi Arabia joined a BIS-led trial of a central bank digital currency.

BRICS-specific institutions

The BRICS group has established its own financial institutions that facilitate cooperation among member central banks.

New Development Bank (NDB): This multilateral development bank was established by BRICS nations to fund infrastructure and sustainable development projects. Its Articles of Agreement state that the bank "shall cooperate with international organizations and other financial entities".

Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA): This framework is a pool of committed foreign currency reserves that BRICS members can draw upon for support during short-term balance of payments pressures. This mechanism is limited to BRICS countries and operates via bilateral currency swaps between the member central banks.

Efforts to create alternatives

BRICS members are also developing parallel systems to reduce dependence on Western financial infrastructure.

BRICS Cross-Border Payments Initiative: This initiative explores alternatives to the global financial messaging system SWIFT, particularly for intra-BRICS trade using national currencies and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

Bilateral currency swaps: Some BRICS nations use bilateral currency swap agreements with other countries to promote trade in local currencies. For example, China uses these with other nations to expand the use of its currency.

Factors influencing association

Sanctions: Western sanctions on Russia have accelerated efforts by some BRICS nations to find alternative payment and settlement systems to bypass the global financial system.

Expansion: As the BRICS bloc has expanded to include new members, its financial institutions, particularly the NDB, have also grown to include non-original members. For example, Bangladesh, Egypt, the UAE, and Uruguay have joined the NDB

At this point, so what? We are so far beyond the point of the conventional paradigm of Republican vs. Democrat, left vs. right. We've arrived at the point of lawfare, chaos, insanity and disintegration vs. long-held values of right and wrong, institutional cohesion and simple normalcy. We are not dealing with people who wish to, nay, who are even capable of reasoned dialogue and constructive give and take. Rather, we are faced with a rabble who seeks to upend society on every level in incremental fashion (a "soft" revolution if you will) so that they may assume absolute, uncontestable power. Once achieved, what will come will make the doings of Stalin, Mao and Pot seem like amateur hour.

Now that their efforts are being met with robust push-back (what used to be known as run-of-the-mill law and order), they will escalate their efforts, which in a way is the greatest gift that they can give the normals as the matter will be sorted once and for all.

This action will undoubtedly make the Democrat Socialist "insanity army" go batshit crazy, but they will go crazy, even if Trump does nothing. What is that action? Make a public announcement that he is authorizing federal law enforcement AND any deployed National Guard or Federal troops to use any means, up to and including deadly force, to stop any individual or group physically assaulting federal law enforcement, National Guard members, or Federal troops protecting federal property or innocent American citizens. In other words, the federal officers or troops can use real bullets, real bayonets, or whatever other weapon deemed appropriate to defend themselves. Most of the leftist rioters (they are not "protesters") are at least semi-armed with everything from Molotov cocktails, bricks, and rocks to knives and guns--to attack federal law enforcement or troops. As for the Democrat swine politicians allowing this violent leftist nonsense to go unchecked in their jurisdictions, they have already blatantly violated numerous federal laws, and Trump's DOJ should go into overdrive filing federal charges against them.

As for all of the NGOs funding this leftist nonsense, President Trump should declare every single one of them as organized domestic terror groups (the NGOs know exactly what kind of violence that they are funding) , criminally prosecute their leaders and employees, and seize all of their assets.

If I get the chance, I ask them why they are masked up and alone and if they say covid I ask them how big a virus is and walk away laughing.

I take it you are covidiot that wears a mask even to this day while walking down the street with nobody anywhere near you or alone driving in your car.

That tracks and they say the uglier you are the more prone to wearing a mask.

I bet you are ugly as sin.

Not totally. The business class of America chafed at the colonialist control of American business that England practiced. The Tea Party was aimed at the strangle hold the new corporations in England had over the up surging American economies.

Your concern for the common sense loss of the American people is right on.

To quote the late Mayor Richard Daley in the summer of love in 1968 “The policeman isn’t there to create disorder, the police are there to preserve disorder.” It’s been a long strange trip we’re on…at some point it is will necessary to have a resolution to this house that stands divided, it either resolves itself peacefully or not. This said maybe 20% of the population are resisting and most of them are reliving the summer of love and the riots in Chicago during the DNC convention in August of 1968. Which means they are dying off. It can’t happen fast enough.

I heard a Boomer refer to the unrest somewhat nostalgically as “no worse than the ‘68 riots”.

Not yet as bad as '68 or the Watts riots of 1965. In Watts the Army fired belt fed machine-guns and fired cannons at buildings. In Chicago in those days Daley would issue "shoot to kill" orders and generally things calmed down pretty quickly. I recall cops with Tommy guns shooting looters. No one in their right or even not right mind would ever have tried a big smash and grab in "Da Mare's" Chicago of the 60's.
