I work in land development and we are well past the point of affordability for most average working Americans. Investors are killing us. Companies and corporations that purchase homes, have the buying power to drive up prices and then turn and rent the properties for exhorbitant rents. If the US wants to solve the housing crisis there needs to be laws the prohibit the ownership of homes by corporations and prohibits the ownership of more than one home by investors. At least that is my take on it. Heath care and housing should never have been permitted to become commodities and investments. Once homes became investment opportunities the prices skyrocketed and left the average American behind.
I don't know where this goes or how it ends but it isn't going to end well. Most likely we are going to end up in a feudal society where a few "lords" own everything and the rest of us "serfs" pay them rent. Well, we actually already are for all intents and purposes. Governments in Australia and Canada, like the British parliamentary system, appear increasingly to be democratic window dressing, given to the people to prevent them fully rebelling, as the Americans did. The evolution of the monarch in Britain itself to some kind of apolitical figurehead also smacks of a ruse, to make people continue accepting the monarchy as a matter of ritual, though most people pay 40% inheritance tax, on top of allowing the aristocracy to own upwards of 30% of the land. I think you are right. I think what we are missing here is a result of the destruction of the world financial system. More and more people are being torn from the middle class and “demoted” to lousy service sector jobs. When I used to go to McDonalds, kids would wait on you. Now it is adults and elderly folks. Minimum wages have been injected in as a welfare mechanism to keep people thrown out of the economy from starving. This has created an income gap between the rich and the increasing poverty class that is getting bigger every month. Economists are noticing that jobs are not being created much with increasing GDP. A jobless increase. Unemployment increasing, the threat of AI, more homeless every month, welfare budgets going out of control, not a pretty picture. We may be facing the fact that all the pump priming, tariffs, low interest rates, re-industrialization attempts that are being done may be too little and too late.
Now, my point. This is causing a split in all countries, legislatively. Parliaments, Congresses have been made useless by political divisions, so no guidance, solutions, ideas, are being generated to solve any of the on-coming disasters. The Constitution, Article One, may be obsolete, as inaction by Congress means inaction by the government at a time when we need it. Trump has tried to be a One man show, fixing things, but again, it is too late and he is getting no help from anybody. Without Trump and his EOs, there would be nothing being done.

There is no question that the stories about Jesus are not actual historic records or written by eyewitnesses. Certainly many pre-existing traditions were grafted onto the new religion that became Christianity. By the fourth century there were numerous sects and theological persuasions that claimed to pitch the real gospel, so Constantine had to gin up the Council of Nicaea in the hope of getting the various players on the same page.

I work in land development and we are well past the point of affordability for most average working Americans. Investors are killing us. Companies and corporations that purchase homes, have the buying power to drive up prices and then turn and rent the properties for exhorbitant rents. If the US wants to solve the housing crisis there needs to be laws the prohibit the ownership of homes by corporations and prohibits the ownership of more than one home by investors. At least that is my take on it. Heath care and housing should never have been permitted to become commodities and investments. Once homes became investment opportunities the prices skyrocketed and left the average American behind.
I don't know where this goes or how it ends but it isn't going to end well. Most likely we are going to end up in a feudal society where a few "lords" own everything and the rest of us "serfs" pay them rent. Well, we actually already are for all intents and purposes. I pay the County an annual rental payment for the right to live on land and live in a home that I paid off more than 10 years ago.

I think you are right. I think what we are missing here is a result of the destruction of the world financial system. More and more people are being torn from the middle class and “demoted” to lousy service sector jobs. When I used to go to McDonalds, kids would wait on you. Now it is adults and elderly folks. Minimum wages have been injected in as a welfare mechanism to keep people thrown out of the economy from starving. This has created an income gap between the rich and the increasing poverty class that is getting bigger every month. Economists are noticing that jobs are not being created much with increasing GDP. A jobless increase. Unemployment increasing, the threat of AI, more homeless every month, welfare budgets going out of control, not a pretty picture. We may be facing the fact that all the pump priming, tariffs, low interest rates, re-industrialization attempts that are being done may be too little and too late.
Now, my point. This is causing a split in all countries, legislatively. Parliaments, Congresses have been made useless by political divisions, so no guidance, solutions, ideas, are being generated to solve any of the on-coming disasters. The Constitution, Article One, may be obsolete, as inaction by Congress means inaction by the government at a time when we need it. Trump has tried to be a One man show, fixing things, but again, it is too late and he is getting no help from anybody. Without Trump and his EOs, there would be nothing being done.
