Great detail on the mine/drone protection! 👍 I’m still waiting/hoping for your perp walk predictions to come through, as those who attempted to overthrow the government still enjoy their freedom. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

MarshaLouise's avatar

Then we have investigations into the newly-discovered ‘four’ FBI operations against Trump (by John Solomon, “Just the News”) over the past decade: Round River, the worst, Plasmic Echo, the well-known Russian Hoax and the more recent Arctic Frost, which caused a slight uproar in Congress. The first two have caught the attention of the DNI and apparently already has resulted in a new grand jury being impaneled. Stay tuned.

NothingButNet's avatar

Yeah. While I’m hopeful, I remain skeptical 🫤

MH's avatar

Did you not see the autopen investigation is closed? I'll look into my crystal ball and tell you what's going to happen to these people: exactly nothing.

Bill Bradford's avatar

....at least not publicly, or reported in the fake news media!....

Phil Denter's avatar

You might as well hope for the New York Jets.

NothingButNet's avatar

As a life long Cleveland Browns fan, I’m very familiar with irrational hope! 😂😂😂

Minerva's avatar

Right. While the wheels of justice might move slowly, in the case of all these people being made accountable, the wheels of justice have ground to a halt. These congressional hearings are just for show. After all this time, there should have been enough evidence on someone for a prosecutor to take up a case. They all get the “get out of jail free” card.

Castelletto's avatar

Fortunately, Trump et. al. know that locking people up is irrelevant to the major tasks at hand, as nicely outlined by our host. People get hung up on vengeance, but punishment of individuals doesn't really do the job of rooting out and defanging the corruption and treason that ails us. That bigger job is going amazingly well so far.

J. Gan.'s avatar

Bull. Americans would dance in the streets to see Clintons, Ilhan Omar, or Tim Walz led away in handcuffs, to prison. Oh, and then there are those pesky Epstein clients who keep working harder and harder to keep each other out of courts and prison. The FBI somehow just got around ( last week!! ) to searching Epstein's ranch in New Mexico. Suspension of disbelief is required for that one.

Castelletto's avatar

I'd dance too, but I'm aware that, as an example, locking up Al Capone did little to stop his gang from surviving and evolving.

J. Gan.'s avatar

Right on! Funny how after Capone, it took until 1970 to pass the RICO laws. Those same laws should be getting rigorous application in states like MN, NY and CA against the politicians, raping the social services systems with fraud and outright theft.

Minerva's avatar

It’s not irrelevant. Punishment of individuals is a LARGE PART of rooting out and defanging the corruption and treason that ails us.

Castelletto's avatar

You're sort of right to bring that up, but it's really the threat of punishment that helps with gathering information. Plea deals with leniency. But I didn't say it was irrelevant in a general sense but irrelevant to the broader, much more difficult things that need to be done. For example, the shut down of NGO money is where it's at, not whether Brennan will go to jail rather than just have his life and career ruined by the proceedings he's forced to endure.

PapayaSF's avatar

I’m with James. There will be “perp walks and indictments coming in on the zephyrs of spring.” Before the midterms, in any case. Trump and his team (which includes AI-enabled techbro billionaires) know winning them is crucial to his agenda and legacy. They have the receipts on dozens of scandals: Russiagate, Spygate, election fraud, Somali fraud, Medicaid/Medicare fraud, ActBlue, and many more. They have a once in a generation change to destroy the Democratic Party, which they know wants to destroy them. You think they’re too timid to win? I don’t.

Blue pills, red pills, black pills, or Orange Kool-Aid - most everyone gives in to their favorite flavor of confirmation bias well before the facts are in. This time will be no different. The big oil-filled sandbox known as the Middle East has tossed in a few mischievous twists of Karma during the last couple of thousand years, and I think it'll be quite some time before we know what the real fallout will be.

We'll see if the American approach of remote arcade style warfare can overcome traditional "boots on the ground" against a very hostile enemy with nothing to lose. The picture now looks quite murky, and ground truth is difficult to come by. The U.S. has decades of military adventures in the region, and plenty of ill will generated to show for it. This Theater of Distraction is a high price to pay for taking eyes of much bigger problems we have at home - after all, the Long Emergency just keeps rolling along....it never rests.

Cankerpuss's avatar

"The U.S. has decades of military adventures in the region"

Hell yes. It is our military's play and training ground.

As I read Mr. Kunstler's descriptions of the technical weaponry and naval vessels employed by our military I kept thinking the military / industrial complex that controls the US government, particularly the US Congress, is again raking in the profits and the CEOs at Raytheon, Northrup-Grummond and others are going to get a really big fat bonus this year.

Read my comments from two weeks ago.

I said mass deportations are done. I have been told, "No, they're ongoing!" Trump and head GOP people just told everyone in the GOP to knock off the mass deportation talk this week: https://komonews.com/news/nation-world/white-house-instructs-house-gop-members-to-stop-rhetoric-on-mass-deportations-report-minnesota-donald-trump-2024

I said we should oppose the Republican party and hold them accountable with Democrat opposition. I have been told, "Sure. Vote for Democrats, the people who are going to trans your kids" Meanwhile: https://newschannel9.com/news/nation-world/trump-gets-pushback-for-saying-trans-surgery-for-kids-can-happen-with-parental-consent-marjorie-taylor-greene-matt-walsh-mail-in-ballots

Trump said no new wars, we now oppose the war for this reason. Meanwhile, I have been told "It's not a war! It's not new!" Like these technicalities will save us from the fact that this is an expeditionary war of choice for regime change in the middle east like the Iraq war and the fundamental problem that this isn't good for the gander. There is literally no tangible benefit to people in the United States. And whil we can spend billions overseas, where is the investment here? Why can't we take care of our problems here?

When are you going to see the light brother? It's ok to acknowledge the truth and admit that Trump has betrayed us.

MH's avatar

Yep. But even then you have to ask: is he really better than Kamala? We have less deportations than Obama, a war in Iran, and he's saying kids can get Trans surgeries with parental consent. What is actually better? Corporate tax rates? Yay. It's better than a shit sandwich because this shit sandwich has mustard.

Accepting facts is not giving up. It only means we need to find different tactics to destroy the enemy. Sticking your head in the sand to reality accomplishes nothing.

Fooglee's avatar

Just whose ‘facts’? And what are their purposes in distributing said ‘facts’? ‘Critical thinking’, when you don’t know SHIT? Sit back and watch the shitshow. Maybe we will know someday, or most likely NOT. “Facts” have been managed forever by those who wish to create actions or even to frame reality - it is just so much WORSE now. The feedback loop of fakeness followed by manipulated opinion is awesome to watch in its power to shape reality. 5th generation warfare as is said…

UncleBob9's avatar

We could always test the efficacy of missiles not exactly hidden in Kansas and Iowa by using them to turn Iran to glass. That would be a different tactical approach.

It's similar to someone's idea that was told to me 25 years ago, after 9/11: Tell everyone in the world, especially Islamist countries that any further terrorist activity anywhere will bring the immediate vaporization of Mecca and Medina, meaning no more meteorite-in-a-box for them to worship. That probably would cause some anger and resentment, but it might give the bad guys pause.

I do find it odd they can't create statues or art with man's likeness out of fear of Muslims worshipping them, but they wander around a black rock in a big black box.

Ritual worship is bizarre.

Nor do we need to use nukes in fact using them even the small ones would be a huge mistake.

Conventional payloads work just fine and should be used at this point since Iran is spraying missiles all over the place even announcing banks are now targets...banks.

~ Is Netanyahu Dead? ~

In this supposedly-live video, people are talking about Netanyahu's sixth finger (AI?) at 1:23 on his right hand (on our left), which I've cued at that point, and suggesting he might be dead.

A commenter at another site also mentioned a 'time stamp' at that point, but I don't know what that means or where it might be. Maybe they mean the 6-fingered hand too.

I don't know what to make of this ATM (limited time to look more into it), but here's the video:

https://www.youtube.com/live/tnnIDvlZzcg?si=-Mg7vd64W0wwoncu&t=83

I suppose it could be compared with the same video on other channels. Maybe they edited that part out or kept it in. Do fingers normally 'blur' like that, outside of AI doing so? Was Netanyahu born with a sixth finger on his right hand that only appears sometimes?

But, also, I just cursorily caught something at another site about some sort of 'power-grab' in Israel.

Ben's avatar

Oil = money.

Free Navigation = money.

Kabobs = cholesterol.

Hot Iranian Girls = Can't tell as they are hidden under the hijabs but I hear persian women are quite attractive.

Safety = Not for the Iranian girls and kabobs cookers.

I pick money. It always comes down to money. Money, money, money. $1 billion in profits is not enough, they MUST have $2 billion. $2 billion isn't enough, they MUST have $4 billion.

Ben's avatar

I pick Gas under $8 a gallon.

That is enough to take the current Iranian government off the board as they have bad intentions for everyone.

elysianfield's avatar

Ben,

I know you have been watching. Our missiles, do not seem to be effective on Hypers. Iran is a lab, and our technology is proving to be wanting, in real time.

Ben's avatar

Hypers is a term for ballistic missiles and yes some of them have been less than 100% effective as Israel and most of the middle east is finding out.

The launchers are easier to target and are being targeted.

Iran was going to be global threat it really is time for them to go back to being a Republic more interested in trade and peace then pushing Shia brand religion.

elysianfield's avatar

"... yes some of them have been less than 100% effective..."

Ben,

...Less than 100% effective..."

Reminds me of a statement made by a Japanese Emperor:

"The war is going not necessarily to our advantage."

I am of the opinion that our best missiles are very ineffective in respect to the maneuverable glide projectiles currently being used. To suggest that our missiles are working well reminds me of the fighter in the ring...his cornerman says that the fighter is doing well and the other fighter hasn't laid a glove on him...he replies "You better start watching the referee, then, because somebody is beating the shit out of me..."

Time will tell, Ben.

Mr. K-

Great interview earlier this week...your guest's assertion that Iran has not attacked anyone in 300 years is fallacious-they've been conducting ongoing proxy warfare for many years thru hamas, hezbollah, houthi's, etc

SheilaB's avatar

Meanwhile ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood are longstanding US/UK proxies for destabilising the Middle East.

UncleBob9's avatar

Sure. They may be friends to Barry Soetoro, Lolo Soetoro's adopted son and naturalized citizen of Indonesia (which forces citizens to give up citizenship in other countries -- meaning the Democrats knowingly seated a president who legally couldn't serve -- but that's old news, so who cares?), the convert to Islam John Brennan, and the CIA, but those outfits aren't the friends of America.

SheilaB's avatar

I'm not a friend of any of your presidents or of our prime ministers. None of them work for us. They don't even get to stand without being vetted by the Bilderbergers.

Bill Bradford's avatar

The one does NOT negate the other....

SheilaB's avatar

I didn't say it did. But it's the US that holds the Award for attacking most countries since WWII and carrying out regime change ops and colour revolutions. So it has zero moral high ground. Nothing happened to your country or mine for the outrage that was the Iraq war.

And who put Jolani the head-chopper-in-a-suit in power in Syria? UK, US and Israel.

Bill Bradford's avatar

OK. I'll bite. Please list all these countries which YOU believe DO have "moral high ground"?....

SheilaB's avatar

I don't think any 'regimes' have moral high ground. Countries are something else - they are made up of individuals who are moral entities (for good or bad). A regime is not a moral entity.

Bill Bradford's avatar

Sorry, nope. Please don't "move the goalposts". YOU used the word "countries", and then in reference to the actions of countries, you used the phrase "regime change", which means to change the government of a country. My question asked you about countries, NOT "regimes". "Regimes" are made up of people who are "moral entities". Are being pedantic, semantic, or simply illogical & irrational?.... And actually, a LOT happened to America because of that "Iraq war". Are you aware that the Bush dynasty & the Bin Laden family have $100's of millions in mutual investments through the Carlyle Group?.... Can you name the "3 Cities"?.... What branch of our Federal government, Executive, Legislative, or Judicial, does the "U.S. Federal Reserve" "bank" fall under?....etc., rsvp?

john galt's avatar

You are obviously a Demm and possibly a muslim as no one else would ignore the deaths and destruction brought to Americans by these vicious organizations. However, you may have a point regarding the UK who increasingly are being recognized as not on our side, or in our best interests, which includes the EU.

SheilaB's avatar

I'm in the UK and don't vote (since 2021). I wouldn't vote for the Fabians currently in power, or the Tories whose puppetmasters are the same as the Fabians', or indeed Farage who is a former banker and currently almost certainly a deep-state asset.

So, no, I'm not a 'Demm'. Or a muslim.

Also I'm a Christian, but not one of those heretical Christian Zionists. If you think the UK and US don't use proxies that harm their own people, I hope you wake up one day. You probably still think 9/11 was organised by a beardy bloke in a cave.

And you seem to lack perceptiveness, so probably best not to guess about other people. I don't know what you are as I don't know you from Adam.

MarshaLouise's avatar

Sheila, I am currently admiring the stance of Rupert Lowe in his effort to Restore Britain. This is a party I think most real Brits could get behind. How is it going?

john galt's avatar

Thanks for your response, and I apologize for my apparently mistaken ID of you. No, I do not trust the government, actually any government, as they strive for complete power by whatever means. I especially do not trust the British government or royal family, as too many problems in the U.S. can be traced to British actual control. Now, for an update on beliefs, JFK was not killed by the lone gunman; building 7 did not fall due to the aircraft crashing into the World Tower, but from nefarious means; et cet. I actually do have very acute perceptiveness among other attributes, with some failings. Have a nice day and I hope you have some good English weather today.

SheilaB's avatar

Thank you! I'm actually in Scotland where the weather is even worse. 🤣

Also, yes, although I couldn't possibly 'know', I have the impression that the City of London is the head of the snake. But I also think there's nothing particularly 'British' about it. I think you can trace it all back much further, but I won't elaborate as entire books have been written about it!

Building 7 fell as a result of damage to a corner from the wtc building collapsing on it and an uncontrolled fire.

The whole purpose of this war was to remove Israel's final rival in the ME and give them the space to become a world superpower. Netenyahu said as much in a speech yesterday. This war serves no tangible benefit to the US. It isn't MAGA, it isn't America first. It's to increase shareholder value, i.e. Israel first. And we have to eat the cost for their benefit.

And 90% of "MAGA" supports this nonsense, despite it being very unpopular, completely against Trump's promises and against the America first movement. Don't be shocked when the midterm results roll around. I really hope the opposition will reign this administration in and that a real popular hero will take the field in 28.

The real purpose of this war is to take out a regional power who has attacked all sorts of countries around them via proxies chanted death to America for fifty years and armed terror cells all over the middle east.

If Israel ceased to exist, they would start targeting Sunni countries and continue the Sunni Shite fighting that has been going on for a thousand years.

All this while building ever larger missile systems to deliver a payload across the region and beyond possibly even to land in your front yard.

They have also been sending drones to Russia that are killing Ukrainians a venture I feel is none of our business, but it is keeping that war going longer than it needs to.

The fact you chose to say otherwise reveals your motivation.

What caused the war?

Iran mocking during a nuclear meeting they already had enough material to make 11 nuclear weapons, and they did not need nor want free low-level material for peaceful power. They want nukes and will use them if they get them.

Iran wanted a confrontation and war it is part of their ruling 12'er sects' belief this conflict will bring in the last Mahdi a messianic figure.

So, when pundits and talk host say they are run by religious zealots that is a very simple truth.

This is a group of people who during the Iran/Iraq war had kids run across minefields with plastic keys to paradise cause tanks are expensive and little kids are not.

They use Hamas tactics of putting civilians right next to ripe military targets to use as propaganda pieces.

If they will do that to their own kids and people, what will they do to yours?

I don't expect you to do anything but double down on pro-Iranian propaganda.

MarshaLouise's avatar

I feel ashamed that you had to explain this as though ppl had never heard these things before. But, Ben, thank you for saying what I wanted to. It's all about money, Occam. Raytheon, Northrup-grummond, Lockheed, they all profit immensely from war and the production of weapons of war. Ben even mentioned above that Lockheed stocks are going to do well thanks to the increase in production of missiles. Money has always been the motivation for war. Always. FDR induced Japan to bomb Pearl Harbor to get the US into the war to jump start the economy and pull the nation out of the Great Depression. It did but it also changed the world in terrifying ways. In all wars there are a few who become extremely wealthy. The rest suffer.

War is necessary to justify a trillion dollar defense spending budget. Can't justify all that money without a war to fight. So, we find hapless nations and beat the hell out of them without really declaring any kind of official "war." Makes sense?

The military / industrial complex controls the US government, particularly the US Congress.

The USA lost the moral high ground many decades ago.

Bill of Rights's avatar

Joe Biden admitted publicly that as Vice President he offered the Ukrainian government $1 Billion of money belonging to U.S. working families if Ukraine would fire their prosecutor who was investigating corruption at a Ukrainian company where Biden’s own son was working. He said that his offer would expire that afternoon. Ukraine accepted and fired the prosecutor and Biden transferred the $1 billion. That’s not a crime? Apparently not for Pam Bondi. As sad as it is, we can’t expect any of the much more complex crimes to be prosecuted.

Ben's avatar

It's a matter of public record and he bragged about it while being filmed.

Once again proving the Democrats always accuse others of what they are actually doing or have done.

MarshaLouise's avatar

It’s a crime, of course, but with the hundreds of serious crimes committed by the Democrats, Bidens, etc., how are priorities decided? Even with hundreds of attorneys engaged in investigations and case management in the DOJ, evidence collection is weighty and time-consuming. Patience.

MarshaLouise's avatar

If that were the only case to be investigated…if.

George Dudman's avatar

James, you must be over the target. Lots of flack here from the Trolls.

Gary Edwards's avatar

Wishful thinking. I hope at least some comes true.

I also hope to see a surge in reporting on fraud. Either investigations first and prosecutions second or vice versa.

In some ways of thinking this is the most certain future truth, the low hanging fruit so to say for the current administration. And to think, Trump put going after this firmly in JD's hands. Hmmm.

1 He trusts JD,

2 He thinks JD will be like a dog with a bone, and

3 he thinks the Bondi/Patel crew needs some leadership and help in hat mucky end of the swamp.

It's the most obvious future as we move towards the mid terms, and independent media is beginning to help.

MarshaLouise's avatar

Uh huh…only CBS at this time asserts knowledge about the LA County fraud. We need to hear from more.

The Soldiers and their weapons win the war until they run into Generals and Politicians.

To avoid this we want our servicemen and women to be equipped with the best weapons available for quick and decisive combat when required.

You honestly don't understand that we have lost all of these wars, do you, William. Remember when Rambo said "they wouldn't let us win"? That was bullshit. We were whupped.

Howard Skillington's avatar

Yes, William. You and I both recognize that there are good and evil in this world, but disagree as to which is which. It's as stark as that.

BTW, I do not regard the American people as evil, but the Uniparty that fronts those who rule the world certainly is, and the failing agenda they are still trying to enforce is hellishly so. The fact that they have duped President Trump into this colossal blunder is a terrible tragedy.

It's out there. Twitter/X is always a shit storm, but there are knowledgeable and trustworthy people on all kinds of subjects. Just go to X and search Littoral Combat Ships.

For all panicans, go to the White House website and search for "National Security Strategy" and "Foreign Policy Strategy." Another is "The Fiscal Oversight Committee "FOC" 2025 Annual Report." They are well written explanations of Trump Admin. goals and strategy. I can hear the doomers already, "What a simp! Trusting anything that pedo Orange Hitler says."

Anyone who takes the time to read them will be able to connect the dots, because it's there in plain English. Eliminating threats to national security in the Western Hemisphere (Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Canada). Re-evaluating every relationship with current or former allies across the globe. No more multi-lateral trade deals, forge only reciprocal bi-lateral trade relationships with like-minded countries. Respect the culture and government systems of foreign nations, friend and foe, and end State Dept. meddling in foreign countries to force our values and culture onto another people. For threats domestic and external, first offer an open book test: negotiate in good faith so we can settle differences diplomatically. If you fail the open book test, we will take whatever means necessary to eliminate the threat to protect the interests of the American people. The FOC, for the first time in its history, has prioritized "the economic stability of the American home."

Maduro and the mullahs failed the open book test. Zelensky has a D- and will be dealt with. Cuba is currently negotiating. 60 countries have joined the Peace Board. Twelve Latin American countries were in Doral this past weekend, committed to destroy the drug cartels in their countries and secure the Western Hemisphere. Mexico and the U.S. are already working together to eliminate the cartels AND exit the USMCA multi-lateral trade agreement summer of 2026, forge a bi-lateral trade deal between just the U.S. and Mexico. Canada has refused to participate in negotiations.

Trump 47 is the most transparent administration in modern history. He's not shooting from the hip at whatever suits his fancy at the moment. He's also not playing 4-D chess. For chrissakes, it's all out there for public consumption, friend or foe, in black & white. For those who refuse to make an effort to understand what Trump is attempting but just like to black pill, STFU.

Perhaps he pulls it out of his ass, pretty much like POTUS Trump did when he claimed Iran targeted their own school girls for death.

Although there is a big cover up going on in the US over the US heroic targeting of and attack on a school full of Iranian little girls, the International press, as well as some US outlets, are picking up on the story.

The main theme: Trump lied, kiddies died.

Can you imaging the outrage if Iran struck a school full of 170 American girls and claimed it was an accident? What penalty would people call for?

"Congress created a special Pentagon office to prevent the accidental targeting of civilians but it was dramatically scaled back by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth soon after he took office last year."

This gave Hegseth and POTUS "plausible deniability" for a strike on the girls' school. If blaming Iran failed, it could still be covered up by calling it a mistake and blaming it on resource limitations.

"In the case of Minab, the preliminary inquiry states that CENTCOM planners relied on DIA data and concluded that the school building remained part of the Sayyid al‑Shuhada complex, leading to “insufficient weight” being given to the obvious civilian presence.

In other words, even in the Pentagon’s own language, US officers consciously authorized a Tomahawk strike on a built‑up area that either they believed included an active school or that they did not bother to verify despite ample open‑source evidence that it was a school.

Furthermore, the Times indicates that the base was struck again roughly two hours after the initial barrage, implying that commanders had real‑time battle damage assessments and were aware of the devastation in the vicinity. The decision to continue the attack demonstrates that the killing of civilians, including scores of schoolgirls, was not unforeseen but an expected consequence of the military operation.

Given all of these reported facts, the question must be asked: Were Hegseth and Trump notified that the selected targets in Minab included a girls elementary school? If they were notified, did Hegseth and Trump give the final order to go ahead with the Tomahawk missile strike?"

Don't forget in 2002 when a school for girls caught on fire and the girls ran out of the building screaming. The Saudi religious police forced them back into the building because they whorishly ran from the flames without headscarves and hijabs. Forced back into the building they burned to death.

What we are fighting is that ideology. Islam is a global cancer, and we can see that in every country that has allowed jihadi invasion.

AwakeNotWoke's avatar

Except that the Sunni ideology of America's Saudi Arabian ally, who are archenemies of Iran's Shia theocracy, is the one that gave rise to al-Qaeda and its operatives, including the former al-Qaeda leader who is now president of Syria and was hosted by POTUS Trump at the White House

Ben's avatar

Hosted an enemy at the Whitehouse and that is called diplomacy.

Saying it was anything else is you spinning.

Should we not have dialog with enemies or simply just shoot those we don't like in the head?

We know where they are it wouldn't be that hard to Khaddaffi most of them.

AwakeNotWoke's avatar

Defend al-Qaeda all you like. It doesn't change the facts, Mr "No Doubt." It seems the Pentagon isn't attempting as inadequate a cover up as you did.

Ben's avatar

That is not a defense it is a simple statement of fact.

Do grow up some.

Instead of jumping both feet on every propaganda piece you come across for your childish propaganda war against the US.

I was waiting for facts to develop.

Facts are hard to argue with.

Fact this girl school was set next to a military site and the why has been used by groups like Hamas for YEARS.

Iran is a country that has used children to find mines by blowing themselves up instead of expensive tanks or military personal.

They will do anything to win including lying just like them saying they hit the USS Lincoln and sank her.

Psst I know people on the Lincoln right now it's a fabrication.

SheilaB's avatar

"Can you imaging the outrage if Iran struck a school full of 170 American girls and claimed it was an accident? What penalty would people call for?"

Anyone remember those economy-busting sanctions that were applied to the US and UK for illegally invading Iraq on the basis of deliberately falsified intelligence and killing a million people? No, me neither. One rule for me and another for thee.

Vegan Shark's avatar

When I first read about the devastating blow to a school in Iran I was inclined to think it was another in the long history of wartime propaganda. But the following days brought further evidence that suggested the report was for real, and shocking.

Collateral damage is part of war, but the strike on the girls school was somewhere on the spectrum from irresponsibility to a savage war crime. It may turn out to be for the Iran war what My Lai was for Vietnam.

AwakeNotWoke's avatar

Few other than Americans are going to believe it was the result of incompetence. They've all heard of Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Mai Lai and will not believe that the US does not target civilians. The reputation on the US is in the sewer.

MarshaLouise's avatar

I read this nonsense and remembered that this is war, and you have a serious case of TDS, and “the Times indicates” says it all. Look for reliable news sources.

AwakeNotWoke's avatar

Ah, the classic ad hominem + genetic fallacy combo: shout “TDS,” sneer at the source, and carefully avoid addressing a single fact. If your entire rebuttal is “I don’t like where the information came from,” you haven’t refuted the argument—you’ve just advertised that you can’t. Try engaging with the evidence instead of the insult generator.

freelearner's avatar

The double tap method suggests to me that Israel may have influenced this attack (double tap being their MO), or that the US panicked and sent a second missile in hopes of silencing witnesses / preventing media coverage.

He most likely spends a great deal of time conducting research. As a writer, I suspect it is his day job.

Ben's avatar

It's a matter of Public record.

MarshaLouise's avatar

I find this information very interesting and it certainly lends credibility to what JHK writes, the mark of a great journalist and opinion-writer.

NY Nanny's avatar

As per usual, James has the definitive article on this situation. I have to admit that even I have been falling victim to the endless anti-Trump/anti-war Propaganda and was beginning to wonder if maybe this whole thing might be a mistake.

I feel so much better after reading this, it just made my whole week better.

One other thing- let's not forget that there is another war with Islam taking place mainly in the UK and parts of the US like NY City and Little Mogadishu.

The Muslims are winning without firing a shot. They even have a mayor in place in what was once the greatest city in the world. How do we fight that battle?

Seems even trickier than the straits of Hormuz.
