The only other story I recall was one where the Kuwaiti civilian expressed that he now knows there's good and evil in the world and that the Iraqi soldier's were pure evil and that the US soldiers were good people. He really wanted us to know that what we did and were doing for Kuwait was for a good and just cause. I left those speeches feeling especially proud to be an American that day.

He really wanted us to know that what we did and were doing for Kuwait was for a good and just cause. I left those speeches feeling especially proud to be an American that day.

BTW, in the US's history the fight to reform or abolish the electoral college began almost as soon as it was created, by those who created it. In 1802, Alexander Hamilton, one of the original architects of the electoral college, was so displeased with how it was being executed that he helped draft a constitutional amendment to fix it.
Since then, according to the Congressional Research Service, there have been 700 (!) motions to change the US's method of voting in the POTUS. None have passed. To pass a constitutional amendment, a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate is required to propose it, followed by ratification by three-fourths of state legislatures or state conventions. The Founding Fathers set the bar too high!

For several decades, 95% of all Federal union employees political donations have gone to the D's. The 5 counties or N. VA, Washington D.C., and a number of counties in MD routinely vote 90% or more for the D's. So, what's occurred over the past 50 years or so is that successive administrations have stocked the entire Federal government with D activists and supporters.
Not surprising that vast swaths of the Federal government support all D's and punish the R's.
I can only comment on what I saw firsthand almost all the minorities were firmly Democrats but it was a fifty-fifty split.

Tough to hear DiGenova is out but not surprising. It must be remembered that the case being built against these extremely high profile and once very powerful Americans, is, first, unprecedented. On top of that, it is probably one of THE MOST difficult cases any prosecutor could ever take on.
While there are a gazillion dots of connection to the “this and that” of it all, hard evidence - which is what is required, especially in a case of this magnitude - is hard to come by. There’s no “smoking gun” in this case, as there usually isn’t in any conspiracy case, just a mountain of documents, emails, and actions to sift through to try and build enough of a coherent case a jury will be able to first, digest, and then comprehend enough to come to the hoped for conclusion.
I’d read that one of DiGenova’s approaches was to break it up into numerous separate cases, and that may explain part of the apparent slow-walking. I don’t know, but I do know, whoever gets handed this case, is hopefully a masochist, and one of the most relentless pitbulls the law profession has ever conjured.
