Good post but I feel compelled to point out that jet fuel cannot burn hot enough to melt structural steel. Who or what was behind the 9/11 atrocities is officially unknown to us.
While I have an engineering degree, I do not profess to be a structural engineer but the collapse of the towers makes perfect sense to me. Burning jet fuel may not get hot enough to melt steel but the impact of a 300K pound aircraft combined with the burning fuel and everything else in the building was enough to weaken the supporting floor structure causing it to fail. All it takes is one point of failure to start the collapsing accordion effect.

Strangely, they never managed to explain (or question) how Building 7 managed to collapse despite any serious damage.
The collapse of the towers was the equivalent of a local earthquake. Buildings often fall down during or after earthquakes.
The alternative explanations make no sense. Wiring a building for demolition takes lots of explosives and wires. Tenants would have noticed. And if someone could do that, why bother trying to hijack airliners as a cover story? What if the hijackings failed, or missed, or hit and cut the demolition wires? Much simpler to just blow up the buildings and blame terrorists.
Exactly. Go look at vids of controlled demolitions. They bring a building straight down into its own footprint. Then look at vids of the aftermath of an earthquake in a city. Night and day.
My understanding is there are two ways to protect the steel girders. The old way was to wrap them in asbestos, the preferred way today is to encase them in cement. At some point in the construction, objections to the asbestos caused that to stop, but it was too far along to go back and redo with cement so the upper floors had neither cement or asbestos to protect the girders which allowed them to soften enough to pancake the building.
That, and there were no standard girders; it used a tubular design with far less steel than other buildings of this size and not actual internal structure to hold the building up.
This fact is left out of all the arguments, possibly for a reason beyond normal human comprehension.
I went through Iron Worker apprentice school years ago. We watched a video pertaining to the construction method of the towers. It was a fairly new method when they built them, in part, had to do with the efficiency of the elevators in buildings that tall. I was on a job with a journeyman when the planes hit. The first thing he said was " they're comin' down."
So the real reason the building was pulled was because of the asbestos. It wasn't the Muslims or the Jews, but rather Larry Silverstein trying to save money on deconstruction.

My interpretation of the explanations I have seen is that it was the weakness of the interconnections on the corners that broke down the buildings. The elevator shafts provide a draft of air turning the building into a blast furnace, a vertical shaft furnace that produces liquid metals by the reaction of the air introduced under convective pressure into the bottom of the furnace, aided by the vast amount of combustible materials of what once was a floor of offices. Temperatures sustained in such a conflagration may not melt metal in most areas, but it will soften the metal structures that hold many tons of concrete in place, and when those concrete floors begin slumping toward the gash in the building’s exoskeleton, the floor above the hottest temperature slumps outward and downward — exactly what the videos display.

I refer you to a test by Sandia National Laboratories in 1988 where they mounted a F4 Phantom Fighter jet on a rocket sled and drove it into a thick concrete wall at 480 mph. The jet was completely demolished with only small parts remaining.

That is because the rate of deceleration into the earth is less than a concrete wall. The tail might be intact because as the main structure of the airplane is collapsing, the tail is not subject to as rapid a deceleration.
I would argue that if you flew a 747 into a thick concrete wall the results would be the same as the F4.

It is very easy to lift a full-assembled jet engine with a small forklift, as American Airlines discovered prior to the crash of their Flight 191 on May 25, 1979 in Chicago.
The jet in the video was demolished, yes, leaving what looked like a blanket of small bits of debris. There was no such layer of debris on the Pentagon's lawn.

Jet fuel doesn’t need to melt steel to cause structural failure. At high temperatures, steel loses much of its strength and can sag or buckle. The WTC explanation is impact damage plus prolonged fires—not melted steel.
Please find "Muslims Suspend the Laws of Physics", READ it, then report back here what you learned about the safety factors designed into the towers, the maximum achievable temps and total amount of heat that could have theoretically been transferred to the metal frameworks in the time periods between impacts and collapse. One can't forge steel until you heat it up, and once it is soft, it sags and loses its ability to hold everything up.
There was some rumor the steel was defective, and the buildings were built differently, using tubes instead of solid I-beam construction.
The building was built around the exterior, holding up the weight, while the center was devoid of columns to hold it up and once the windows started popping out, it lost that external rigidity

I would feel much safer in a wood frame structure which holds integrity until final failure much more so than a steel frame. Question, Have you ever been in a building collapse? The old 1800's mill buildings in New England would take a beating before collapse. We're talkin' 12x16 timber framing. It will stay together until it doesn't. Airliners are much stronger and more maneuverable than you think. I believe it was in 1955 that Boeing Test Pilot, Tex Johnson, performed a roll over Puget Sound in Seattle with a Boeing 707 4 engine jet airliner.
i’m not a aeronautic engineer, but it’s my understanding that it has to do with the speed at sea level. It is estimated that the jets, or whatever they were, hit the World Trade Center at 500 mph which is not a speed that they are built to withstand at that elevation.
When they dug out, the remains of the planes were there, in NYC, Pentagon, and Shanksville. They were a missile, a flying body full of explosives. The al Qaeda boys knew exactly what they were doing.
The “limits” you’re referring to are imposed to help preserve the airframe over its lifetime, and not because it would immediately self-destruct. It’s no different than the Navy’s 7g “limit” for an F-18 Super Hornet when it can legitimately do 10g - not exceeding 7g extends its service life.

Your theory rests on the idea that it’s possible to rig a building for demolition without the occupants noticing. It’s not like a WWII movie where someone sticks a brick-sized charge to a girder under a bridge. It takes tons of explosives and miles of wire.
In fact, the falling towers did register on local Richter scales, but not at a very high level, certainly not enough to account for the total disintegration of building 7
First of all those planes are modified for that particular purpose and secondly my research indicates that they only fly at about 170 mph when actually dropping the water. They can transport to the site at higher altitude at 500 MPH but then they have to slow down when they go to a lower elevation.
Not if they have zero concerns about warping the airframe and ruining the aircraft for future use.
I will give you another factoid: the average modern jet, Boeing or Airbus, can fly faster than the speed of sound but is denied that ability because of all the broken windows and complaints it would cause.

Great post. The concept of our national immune system being compromised is KEY. My parents, of the 'Greatest Generation' had their rock-solid belief that the US was just one nation among many. And, that the other nations of the world don't really like us, largely because of simple envy. It's an interesting perspective and worthy of debate, but historian's generally agree that the problems with it are: weak empirical grounding, cherry picked facts, arbitrary periodization, and generational stereotyping. None of my graduate school professors would ever have let me get away with the Turning explanation of history, and especially not my historiography professor. I grant you, it's interesting, and very popular right now, but that's as far as I can go with it. 😁

While I have an engineering degree, I do not profess to be a structural engineer but the collapse of the towers makes perfect sense to me. Burning jet fuel may not get hot enough to melt steel but the impact of a 300K pound aircraft combined with the burning fuel and everything else in the building was enough to weaken the supporting floor structure causing it to fail. All it takes is one point of failure to start the collapsing accordion effect.

The alternative explanations make no sense. Wiring a building for demolition takes lots of explosives and wires. Tenants would have noticed. And if someone could do that, why bother trying to hijack airliners as a cover story? What if the hijackings failed, or missed, or hit and cut the demolition wires? My understanding is there are two ways to protect the steel girders. The old way was to wrap them in asbestos, the preferred way today is to encase them in cement. At some point in the construction, objections to the asbestos caused that to stop, but it was too far along to go back and redo with cement so the upper floors had neither cement or asbestos to protect the girders which allowed them to soften enough to pancake the building.
That, and there were no standard girders; it used a tubular design with far less steel than other buildings of this size and not actual internal structure to hold the building up.
This fact is left out of all the arguments, possibly for a reason beyond normal human comprehension.
I went through Iron Worker apprentice school years ago. We watched a video pertaining to the construction method of the towers. It was a fairly new method when they built them, in part, had to do with the efficiency of the elevators in buildings that tall. I was on a job with a journeyman when the planes hit. The first thing he said was " they're comin' down."

My interpretation of the explanations I have seen is that it was the weakness of the interconnections on the corners that broke down the buildings. Yes, even if you flew a 747 vertically into the ground it is likely there would be large chunks of engines remaining. That is because the rate of deceleration into the earth is less than a concrete wall. The tail might be intact because as the main structure of the airplane is collapsing, the tail is not subject to as rapid a deceleration.
I would argue that if you flew a 747 into a thick concrete wall the results would be the same as the F4.
There is a huge difference between an aircraft striking the ground, and one flown at Mach .96 into a solid structure. And if you want to be technical, there were large pieces of the heavy-duty landing gear retrieved. As an antidote for ignorance, look beyond the engine nacelle to discover how a jet engine is constructed: they are amazingly lightweight, and their strength is the result of a few key components. It is very easy to lift a full-assembled jet engine with a small forklift, as American Airlines discovered prior to the crash of their Flight 191 on May 25, 1979 in Chicago.
The jet in the video was demolished, yes, leaving what looked like a blanket of small bits of debris. There was no such layer of debris on the Pentagon's lawn.

I would feel much safer in a wood frame structure which holds integrity until final failure much more so than a steel frame. Question, Have you ever been in a building collapse? The old 1800's mill buildings in New England would take a beating before collapse. We're talkin' 12x16 timber framing. It will stay together until it doesn't. Heat steel and you have warping, deflection, expansion, etc. That does not happen with wood and brick. Were you there?

i’m not a aeronautic engineer, but it’s my understanding that it has to do with the speed at sea level. It is estimated that the jets, or whatever they were, hit the World Trade Center at 500 mph which is not a speed that they are built to withstand at that elevation.

First of all those planes are modified for that particular purpose and secondly my research indicates that they only fly at about 170 mph when actually dropping the water. They can transport to the site at higher altitude at 500 MPH but then they have to slow down when they go to a lower elevation.

I will give you another factoid: the average modern jet, Boeing or Airbus, can fly faster than the speed of sound but is denied that ability because of all the broken windows and complaints it would cause.

Great post. The concept of our national immune system being compromised is KEY. My parents, of the 'Greatest Generation' had their rock-solid belief that the US was just one nation among many. And, that the other nations of the world don't really like us, largely because of simple envy. The boomers and later generations have bought into the pablum that we are 'the leaders of the Free World' and are entitled to steer other countries fates, and enlighten the benign and admiring foreigners to become us. Of course this was fatal folly. We SHOULD HAVE merely let the rest of the world be. We should have made our own national 'defenses' bulletproof and multidimensional: By that I mean advanced and sophisticated armed forces (this we have done), super-selective and micro-sized immigration policy (we have done the opposite of this), secure and ever-strengthening currency and reserve wealth (again the opposite), and a realization that our mass media and Democrat party is indeed a 'domestic enemy' within, indistinguishable from International Communism (again we did the opposite). On this last point, the signs of this were loud, clear, 5/9/9, from the time of Wilson on, still by ignorance, denial, or being snake-charmed by them, we were blind to it. We have a persistent, suicidal, national folie, all of us do. It is the childish belief that, if Americans and its immigrants are given a choice between 1.) the good, belief in the Almighty, in Western civilization, and the Constitution; or 2.) evil in the form of envy, murder to an end, tyranny, atheism, and all corruption, leading to Communism; that they will choose good. The sad reality is that they will mostly choose bad. And our nation has forgotten THAT, to its peril. And we are now, finally, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the best, slap-in-the-face, example of this above fact, JUST BEGINNING to regain the good sense that my parent's generation had, as plain old humans raised by their own American parents, in their own American neighborhoods.

As we approach the midterms, I am more impressed now with how the DSA is getting the cold shoulder from a LOT of the mainstream Donkey Democrats. This may really work in the favor of the GOP: Maybe the Donkeys will stay home on election day. The GOP must do three things before the 2026 elections: 1.) Point out the horror of Communism and how the whole Democrat population loves it, DSA or otherwise, and both are trying to overthrow the Constitution. 2.) Place the blame for our inflation where it belongs: The ridiculous Covid overspending and crushing of our economy by unnecessary closures, both Rat operations. 3.) Introduce a GOP comprehensive plan to acknowledge (important) and to come out of our debt crisis, including the Trump/Dell accounts, restructuring debt, capital gains and income tax cuts, positive growth strategies, AND, finally, significant spending cuts. Make sure Milei is there, let him have the opportunity to give a plenary talk. He can show us the way out of the forest.

We are in the eye of a Fourth Turning. For some perspective, the last Fourth Turning resulted in WW2. The previous one gave us the Civil War and Franco/German War. Before that, the American Revolution and French Revolution. The American and French revolutions are the best example of how such a turning can go very good or very bad.

Although I understand the theory behind the Fourth Turning hypothesis, I'm not convinced it's how it works. It's an interesting perspective and worthy of debate, but historian's generally agree that the problems with it are: weak empirical grounding, cherry picked facts, arbitrary periodization, and generational stereotyping. None of my graduate school professors would ever have let me get away with the Turning explanation of history, and especially not my historiography professor. I grant you, it's interesting, and very popular right now, but that's as far as I can go with it. 😁
I'm not a fan of Politico, but back in 2017 it published a pretty good critique of the Fourth Turning hypothesis. It was written by David Greenberg; title is "The Crackpot Theories of Stephen Bannon's Favorite Authors." For what it's worth, Greenberg expresses a widely held view among historians of the Fourth Turning idea.
I would tend to favor Steve Bannon's favorite authors over any collection of professors you might put up against them.
