I voted for Trump in the primaries and in the general election when I first became eligible to vote in '16, drawn in by his desire and promise to put Americans first and opposition to the Iraq war. Like Paris but with Mediterranean weather and tropical flowers. Dad used to scuba dive and catch lobsters and the hotel chef would cook them and serve them to him in formal European service. The hotel served as a respected neutral ground for many years when the rest of the neighborhood was turned into rubble. The day it was destroyed was the only time I ever saw my father cry.
That world is gone now. Those beautiful Iranian women Dad adnmired in the cafes lived to see their daughters and grand-daughters become slaves. Islam is a cancer.

For two decades I have admired and benefited from our host's understanding of the world, particularly with regard to the coming collapse. But here it is upon us, and our takes on it are diametrically refracted by our views of Israel.

While Netanyahu remains hiding in a bunker, Iran’s ailing eighty six year old leader made no attempt to avoid legitimate martyrdom. In doing so, he has entirely erased the temporary setback of our attempted color revolution to bring down Iran’s legitimate government, and assured his nation’s solidarity for what now must be done.
It is not Iran that is short of weaponry, but the US, which has squandered most of our stockpiles in Ukraine. Contrary to what our corporate media will permit us to know at this point, Iran has an enormous supply of advanced missiles that have only begun to eliminate the US archipelago of military bases throughout the Middle East. They are using their oldest stuff to flush out what remains of our deficient defenses and Israel’s Iron Dome, saving their devastating arsenal for pounding those targets later on.
The idea that our “allies” like Saudi Arabia will swing this disaster in our favor is risible. The only purpose of our selling our planes to them in the first place was to ease our balance of payments deficit. Our military does not trust them to prosecute this war, and their inept participation will have little bearing.
Far from assuring success in the midterm elections, this colossal blunder will destroy the Trump presidency and any hope we might have had for him to divert our nation’s course from that planned by the Democrats.

Normally, I would agree with Tucker Carlson and others who hold what might be called an "isolationist" view, but I disagree with them--vehemently--in this case. For the record, I'm not Jewish, I'm Christian--but not an evangelistic Christian. My friend casually remarked that is was nice that they could be friends and work together. His Muslim co-worker's statement stunned my friend when the co-worker said, "Make no mistake, we can work together, but we will never be friends. You are the infidel, and, when the time comes, we will kill you." My friend left the Middle East for good not long thereafter, and never returned there for the rest of his life.
What is so pathetic in the U.S. is that the leftist Socialist Democrat scum in this country are so determined to destroy the American Republic and to create a de facto Democrat elite Socialist dictatorship in the United States, that they now embrace radical Islam as an ally in that effort. I still firmly believe that President Trump is the most anti-war President in 70-80 years. That said, I believe that President Trump correctly understands that failing to confront an increasingly dangerous enemy never turns out well. By any account, embarking on a war is seldom politically popular. Indeed, doing nothing to stop Iran would have been much more "popular" with the American electorate in the short term than choosing to engage in a war with its inevitable casualties and cost of treasure. Doing nothing would have been the politically expedient thing for President Trump to do, but it would have not been the right thing.
If the American electorate is lazy enough, stupid enough, brainwashed enough, and cowardly enough to elect Democrats back to power in 2026 and 2028 over this, then they had better get ready to feel what a Socialist dictatorship with a vehement and deadly Islamic extremist bent to it can do them. Lebanon was the only Christian-majority nation in the Middle East.

We prided ourselves on inclusivity. Always welcoming Arab Muslim refugees from all over the Middle East.
We had the best economy despite having no natural oil. The best universities.
They called Beirut the "Paris of the Middle East" and the Mountains of Lebanon was a tourist destination.
My early childhood was idyllic, my father was a prosperous businessman in town and my mother was at home with me, an only child.
Slowly, the Arab Muslims began to become the majority in Lebanon and our rights began to wither away.
Soon, we would find ourselves unable to leave our small Christian town without fear of being stopped and killed by Arabs. In Lebanon your religion is on your government issued ID.
As the war intensified and the radical Islamists made their way south, my home was hit by an errant rocket and my life was forever changed.
We spent the next almost decade in a bomb shelter, scraping together pennies and eating dandelions and roots just to survive.
If it was not for Israel coming in and surrounding our town, I do not know If I would be here today.
Lebanon is now a country 100% controlled and run by Hezbollah. I lost my country of birth.

He and the Republicans have lost their mandate to govern.

Also, Persia is not exactly "lite lunch" when it comes to history. They have had outsiders messing with their "tribes" since World War I. Try to make some time to listen to Alex Krainer. He is refreshingly outside the U.S. and has a more worldly viewpoint. He is also top-notch when it comes to watching the European model collaspsing.

I believe we're already in WWIII and our enemy is the CCP, who is aligned with Iran and others. Iran was months away from obtaining hypersonic missiles which could take out our allies, and even cause damage to the US mainland. Do I think that’s the wars will ever end in the Middle East? Nope. But a decade or two pause would do a lot for human rights and world safety.
I also think this has a lot to do with scaling back China’s influence in the region and access to Middle East oil. They have been financing Iran’s regime for a number of years through their oil purchases and technology transfers.

For two decades I have admired and benefited from our host's understanding of the world, particularly with regard to the coming collapse. But here it is upon us, and our takes on it are diametrically refracted by our views of Israel.
First it must be noted that there has never been any significant upside to our trying to destroy Iran. It is patently a disastrous course of action. But then, we aren’t attempting it for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. Our president has been bludgeoned into it by the most evil man on the planet, Benjamin Netanyahu, on behalf of the most troublesome nation, Israel.
Our divergence here is so profound that space only permits touching upon the most salient points at hand. While Netanyahu remains hiding in a bunker, Iran’s ailing eighty six year old leader made no attempt to avoid legitimate martyrdom. In doing so, he has entirely erased the temporary setback of our attempted color revolution to bring down Iran’s legitimate government, and assured his nation’s solidarity for what now must be done.
It is not Iran that is short of weaponry, but the US, which has squandered most of our stockpiles in Ukraine. Contrary to what our corporate media will permit us to know at this point, Iran has an enormous supply of advanced missiles that have only begun to eliminate the US archipelago of military bases throughout the Middle East. They are using their oldest stuff to flush out what remains of our deficient defenses and Israel’s Iron Dome, saving their devastating arsenal for pounding those targets later on.
The idea that our “allies” like Saudi Arabia will swing this disaster in our favor is risible. The only purpose of our selling our planes to them in the first place was to ease our balance of payments deficit. Our military does not trust them to prosecute this war, and their inept participation will have little bearing.
Far from assuring success in the midterm elections, this colossal blunder will destroy the Trump presidency and any hope we might have had for him to divert our nation’s course from that planned by the Democrats.
Any ephemeral Wall Street euphoria based upon MSM media reports will be short lived. It won’t be long before the market reflects the true calamity of what has begin, and we will all suffer lastingly for it.

Normally, I would agree with Tucker Carlson and others who hold what might be called an "isolationist" view, but I disagree with them--vehemently--in this case. For the record, I'm not Jewish, I'm Christian--but not an evangelistic Christian. What I do understand is that the Islamic radicals running Iran since 1979 have fully embraced the goal that anything non-Islamic must be killed off. Sure, they would have started with Israel the moment that they got nuclear weapons-- just like Hitler "started off" with Austria, the Czechs, and Poland--but they would have not quit there. I learned about Islamic extremism years ago. A now-deceased friend worked in the Middle East in the oil industry for a number of years. He was not an evangelical Christian--in fact, he seldom even went to church. One day, he was talking to a Muslim co-worker, with whom he had worked for years. My friend casually remarked that is was nice that they could be friends and work together. His Muslim co-worker's statement stunned my friend when the co-worker said, "Make no mistake, we can work together, but we will never be friends. You are the infidel, and, when the time comes, we will kill you." My friend left the Middle East for good not long thereafter, and never returned there for the rest of his life.
What is so pathetic in the U.S. is that the leftist Socialist Democrat scum in this country are so determined to destroy the American Republic and to create a de facto Democrat elite Socialist dictatorship in the United States, that they now embrace radical Islam as an ally in that effort. Indeed, doing nothing to stop Iran would have been much more "popular" with the American electorate in the short term than choosing to engage in a war with its inevitable casualties and cost of treasure. Doing nothing would have been the politically expedient thing for President Trump to do, but it would have not been the right thing.
If the American electorate is lazy enough, stupid enough, brainwashed enough, and cowardly enough to elect Democrats back to power in 2026 and 2028 over this, then they had better get ready to feel what a Socialist dictatorship with a vehement and deadly Islamic extremist bent to it can do them. Lebanon was the only Christian-majority nation in the Middle East.
It's where I was born.
We prided ourselves on inclusivity. Always welcoming Arab Muslim refugees from all over the Middle East.
We had the best economy despite having no natural oil. The best universities.
They called Beirut the "Paris of the Middle East" and the Mountains of Lebanon was a tourist destination.
My early childhood was idyllic, my father was a prosperous businessman in town and my mother was at home with me, an only child.
Slowly, the Arab Muslims began to become the majority in Lebanon and our rights began to wither away.
Soon, we would find ourselves unable to leave our small Christian town without fear of being stopped and killed by Arabs. In Lebanon your religion is on your government issued ID.
As the war intensified and the radical Islamists made their way south, my home was hit by an errant rocket and my life was forever changed.
We spent the next almost decade in a bomb shelter, scraping together pennies and eating dandelions and roots just to survive.
If it was not for Israel coming in and surrounding our town, I do not know If I would be here today.
Lebanon is now a country 100% controlled and run by Hezbollah. I lost my country of birth.
I thank God every single day I was able to immigrate to America and live out the dream that BILLIONS of people only dream of having.
Now here in America, my adopted country that I have come to love so much, I see the same threats and warning signs happening now that took place in Lebanon when I was a child.

It was reasonable for Trump to begin his presidency from the position that Iran would respond.to tougher talk. They did not. It was then reasonable to take the position that Iran would respond to a clear demonstration of our power. They did not. They stayed determined to keep coming at us. So here we are.
In the alternative, Trump had to demonstrate stepwise to the Europeans, Arabs and more peaceful Americans that we had no other option. Either way, here we are.
