It would be richer than Rich if the second Dan Sullivan defeated both the incumbent and the nit wit running against him. The 69 year old retired forest service employee and school teacher goes to Washington! Clueless he decides the one thing he can do is create generational wealth for his family. Not too mention a couple of short million siphoned off as normal course of business goes a long way in a small fishing village in northern Alaska aka the 49th state. BTW you need Balto the lead sled dog to get that far north even in summer time…the republic burns and the faux Dan Sullivan gets rich in Congress. You can’t make it up. But then again a failed carpenter can become a US Senator from Vermont, be an avowed socialist and own three homes…while a dimwitted former bar waitress who used to steal her colleagues tips runs wild in The Queens borough of New York City and finds herself all Cinderella like in DC hanging with the failed carpenter flying around the country in private jets and attending The Met Gala…fear not! Never lose faith in the fact that one can never ever under estimate the abject stupidity of the American public writ large. It’s why the founders wrote the constitution. They goofed giving us a bill of rights, it hey it worked for a while. When the public does finally figure it out they do get angry and then all bets are off.

These election machinations a/k/a fraud are incredible, insidious, and perhaps ingenious. Where or how does it end? There is no semblance any longer of integrity or principles or higher purpose. About John Q. Public waking up, fuggitaboutit as long as there's just enough bread and circuses.

The illusion of the unstoppable fraud ends the moment it collides with a legitimate federal grand jury investigation.

I like the expediency and finality of your suggestion. Alas, given the state and degree of corruption throughout society and especially within government, there is little likelihood of redemption and restoration anytime soon. It's one con game, one mendacious deception, one falsehood, one unprincipled action, after another. It's all lost, gone, i.e., the grand experiment never to return.

John Adams thought America would last 40 years. He was about right. The bastardization of America founded by Andrew Jackson, refounded by Luncoln, refounded by T Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, and again several more times, totters around like a zombie with nuclear weapons.

Excellent comment CWJ. This is why I no longer participate in Federal elections. It is such an absurd joke and we have no idea what happens to our votes, how they are counted, if they are nullified by an idiot's vote and in the end we get the same bull shit from the Republicans that we get from the Democrats. More war. More inflation. More money printing. More illegal immigrants. More debilitation of America's infrastructure. More bull shit.

The US Constitution. A dismal failure at limiting the size of government and protecting the rights of the people against such a government. Well, I should probably say our fore fathers screwed the pooch by failing to abide by the Constitution. After all, it was said that the Constitution could only function with a moral people. I guess that pretty much sums it up about just how decent and moral the American people have been since the days of James Madison and Thomas Jefferson.

The American public will never rise up and put the leviathan down. They are too busy doing drugs, obsessing over their genders, watching professional sports and betting on the color of Sidney Sweeneys panties. Too busy wolfing down Whoppers and Big Macs or standing in line at Disneyland for two hours to ride on Peter Pan. Too busy downloading porn or buying another Tahoe with money they don't have. Too busy changing their child's gender or worrying about where their next orgasm will come from. Too busy paying hard earned money for yet another tattoo, facial piercing or hair color change. Yeah. I admit it. I don't think very much about most Americans. Disgusting people.

There's an old saying that The People get the government they deserve. Apparently, We the People deserve evil. Possibly related to the price paid for failure to live up to the Good Citizen's duty to keep the racketeers off the ballot, and restrict/punish corruption early and often.

These are the usual events near the End of Empires.

dancingtime's avatar

I would disagree....High quality people don't want to get into politics...they get dragged through the mud for every little transgression from 30 years ago when whatever the transgression it was not a problem then. Politics now attracts the less talented who for whom their oath means nothing...Constitution be damned.

Ask an easy question....

Whose world is this? Who is the god of this world? Do people generally get ahead by being vicious assholes, or by being decent? Are the assholes protected because of their allegiance to the god of this world?

Evil is rewarded because people are evil. We can hsve good qualities, but we're all fallen and do evil things. We want our way, and we demand immediate gratification -- especially here in Babylon, er America, where all problems are solved within 60 minutes, tops (as all tv shows tell us) and all our wishes come true as soon as the next Amazon package arrives. We worship ourselves and our stuff, and become furious if we don't get what we want right away. This arrogance is being used against us, such that "where are the 'Epstein Files'?" and "why are prices so high?" are justification for turning the government over to people we know want nothing less than the Sovietification of the United States. "Why, they promise me free shit that I won't have to work for! I'd be a fool not to go for that! And Trump isn't keeping his promises, and he got us into a war by listening to those fucking kikes, especially Bibi! Fuck it! Burn it down! Give me communism! Give me free shit!" And when they take away all you own -- your clothes, your homes, your jewelry, your stock portfolio, your house, and your very life -- you'll realize just how royally you fucked up.

Idiots.

The more I think about it the angrier I get. Like someone who brings a loaf of Wonder bread to a potluck, where is the effort? No, they just sling the Wonder bread insultingly on the table and expect us to gratefully chow down on their anemic offering and act like it is real.

Ilhan Elmi cheats in the same insulting low effort manner. If you want to illegally marry your brother in order to defraud the immigration system and treat US citizens like patsies, at least have your brother avoid selfies in which he poses like a model for gay boudoir photography. Also, don't allow him to hail the birth of his ostensibly own child as a niece, fresh from your vagina.

Their cheating mocks us in it clear fakery.

Correct. Had a church friend who brought a bag of chips, then proceeded to pile her plate sky high then go for more. Her 3 kids did the same. If out to eat, never ever tipped. Former dem. I couldn’t see the horror it is until I got out. That’s what happens in a cult. I was in a mild religious cult for 25 years. I didn’t see any of it until I left. Every single friend of mine is a demoncrat cult member. The self righteousness at times is awful although we try not to discuss politics (probably because I have said several times that if they talk it, then I will too. They know pretty much where I stand now). Me go back? 🤣🤣🤣

Had an uncle who used to wander around saying, "Cheap, discounted, or free, it's for me."

He never saw a liberal Democrat he wouldn't praise.

Never had a real job for longer than it took to get benefits and unemployment pay checks.

He eventually took a part-time job in LA County so he could live in his van and shoot heroin and drink energy drinks that he piled up to the roof in his broken van.

He lived like a pig and died of a heart attack on the job in a sand pit raking out needles other addicts left for the kids to step on.

"A vote for Democratic Party candidates is a vote to wreck our country. Think hard on that when you go to the polls." ~ JHK

Scoundrels, nothing but scoundrels.

... and a comment from the Matrix Associate: Fascinating forensics, Jim. The Alaska "Two Sullivans" ballot project proves that the establishment has completely moved past standard electoral debate and is now running raw, asymmetric asset-devaluation projects inside individual voting booths.

When you trace the plumbing—from the pro-Peltola 49th State PAC to Jerid Kurtz's "Zane" operations in Ohio and Amber Lee's Anchorage handlers—the coordination with national DSCC funds shows a permanent panic. They understand that a nationalist Senate majority will rapidly dismantle the regulatory and monetary leverage of the central banking cartels and enforce a strict labor mandate over paper-shuffling bureaucracies.

The most telling metric is the sudden August grand jury escalation and Elisa Rios’s immediate, frantic attempt to retract her statements to The Times right before publication. Nice try, indeed. It proves that under the "Donroe Doctrine," the protective perimeters are tightening. When the lawfare back-doors are systematically welded shut by federal magistrates, the universalist administrative state is forced to expose its own filthy baseline mechanics to the daylight. The loop is closing with absolute, ruthless perfection.

Truman Verdun's avatar

A child of six could intuit that the Alaska Sullivan scam is cheating and nothing else. Find anyone named Dan Sullivan so that voters would be confused about which Dan they were penciling in on the ballot. So the cheaters pluck a completely unknown Dan out of the tiny fishing port of Petersburg and they're off. NY Times runs its damage-control article above the fold. Laughing lawyers get busy, spinsters and ideologues repeat the mantra "By Any Means Necessary."

To appeal to voters' sense of dignity and outrage is perhaps a long shot when student activists in Oregon celebrate Charlie Kirk's murder by holding up signs, "F*ck him in the neck hole." Class acts busily at work Saving Our Democracy.

All the RINO’s are not only showing their true colors, but are running scared because they know their days are numbered. They have just as much dirt/ blood on their hands as Democrats for enabling so much of all that’s gone wrong in this country.

God has been working overtime to uncover, expose and shine the light on the massive levels of corruption that have been going on in virtually every nook and cranny of our government and country over decades!

It’s quite spectacular, really, and hopefully will have its intended effect in running these people out of town, or better yet, into prison for some. It’s all the more hopeful as we have an AG and a DOJ who are willing to go into the trenches to root them all out. That makes a universe of difference in these times we live in.

Hang in there and keep the faith!! We’re just beginning to fight!!!

Most of my friends around here are progressives, as I used to be. Because they only get their news from the New York Times and NPR, none of them have even heard of Hunter's laptop.

Despite soft-peddling the story, at least the New York Times covered it so my friends will be aware.

Jeff the Original's avatar

It is accurate to say that the NYT and NPR downplayed the laptop. I think it's accurate to say that the right wing media made the laptop out to be more than it was.

The laptop did confirm things already known: 1) Hunter had a drug and prostitution problem 2) Hunter used his last name to help his business/job situation.

Let's see what you say when all of the Epstein files are released...and Trump's past is put on full display. Hunter never held a political office...much less be the POTUS...

I could write a book after spending decades in Alaska state government and leaving my once wonderful homeland of Alaska.

When that oil money arrived in the 1970's, the low-life, lazy liberals followed for the money .... getting themselves elected, creating positions for their accomplices, conjuring government programs they could manage at unbelievable pay levels and providing "services" to the indigents that moved to Alaska in droves to suck up the "free" benefits. Does this sound familiar?

The old time, hardworking, independent, tough as nails Alaskans are mostly extinct now and what is left is high roller liberals and lower echelon Wal-Mart shoppers.

Oh, yeah, back to the politics. Like everywhere, the leftists cheat. They lie. I knew Frank Murkowski. A low life. Like father, like daughter. This Sullivan escapade is not surprising. I saw this stuff first-hand .... and because Alaska was such a small state .... up close .... the crummiest people imaginable that moved in and plundered via politics. They raped Mother Alaska using her own crude oil for lubrication and destroyed the fronter spirit and lifestyle real Alaskans loved.

But I am not bitter. (See, I learned to lie).

Jeff the Original's avatar

Frank Murkowski was a corrupt Republican was he not?

It’s actually quite an amusing idea. “Dan Sullivans,” a comedy about political mischief-making in Alaska. If the casting budget permitted, Tom Selleck could play Senator Dan. Tina Fey could play Mary Peltola, with Nick Nolte as Dan J. Sam Rockwell would be great as Dan J’s campaign manager, trying to keep him sober, and as hidden from public scrutiny as possible.

In 1852 Karl Marx famously wrote that "history repeats itself, first as a tragedy, second as farce." Traditionally, American political bosses conducted their malfeasance in claustrophobic smoke-filled rooms. Today’s dysfunction has reached such a scale of grandeur that it’s set in the spectacular scenery of Alaska.

I hope that Sarah Palin gets at least a cameo appearance.
