The thing about James O'Keefe's "going dark" is that if you were gonna do that, why not reveal the people first? I mean... once they are revealed, that kind of limits what they can do to you because now they would be in the spotlight. You are 100 percent right about that. In a hyperinflationary dollar collapse, there would be an orgy of mass looting, rioting, burning, rape, robbery and worse, followed by a prolonged die-off. It would be a very different apocalypse than one caused by a nuclear war, or plague, or something like that. The infrastructure would be just fine, at first, it is human nature that would change. There was a very good book written about this, in which debit/credit cards stop working around 7 a.m. on a busy weekday, and grocery stores are burning, empty shells with bodies on the floor by 10 a.m. In that book, civilization falls by mid-afternoon, and it never comes back. With two sequels, the author shows how the portion of the North American continent currently governed by "the USA" reverts to the Stone Age within months of a currency collapse. It is very grim, and quite realistic.

In 1981 I was an intern in Kapenguria, Kenya (end of the highway) and found an entire village market booth devoted to Nestle infant formula. There was no electricity and questionable water in the remote village but Nestle had managed to get out there with the motto "Be modern and use infant formula. Myself and others talked the village leaders to at least pull down the posters in the booth and let the women continue breast feeding. It was just one of big biz preying on the population. Oh, and there was already plenty of drug testing - DTP vaccine that ruined lives to this day.
There is no such thing as ‘Normal’. Life exists as a blank canvass for each of us to paint a picture on. When some of these pictures from others begin to look similar to ours, our minds call that state ‘normal’. But it is neither normal nor abnormal. A person’s World-view and approach to life is either similar or not. And when those similarities reach a kind of mass, society labels that normal.

Yet they forget the President can only execute Congress's will. The Congress is the sovereign. Unfortunately, Congress today is nothing more than a popularity club full of petty bickering attention seeking bloviating idiots who spend their days voting however their party bosses tell them to vote.
You have mentioned all the uselessness of the Deep State. Trump has to balance the necessary work that needs to be done, DOGE, for example, against the shockwaves that the changes will cause. The target? Control of Congress in 2026.

The vast majority of Biden's deportations were returns at the border. Since there were as many as 300,000 "encounters" per month at the border, there were many returns. Lately, the number of border encounters has dropped to tens per day, so very few returns at the border. As Homan and Noem have stated repeatedly, the current focus is to detain and deport violent, criminal illegal aliens. This prioritizes the safety of the citizens and legal residents. They have a list of names since most of them have undergone due process before and most have been deported before and have illegally returned (raising the violation to felony status). Meanwhile, the admin is asking other illegals to self-deport to avoid future legal problems. Hard to say how successful self-deportation is, but one happy success was the self-deportation of Rosie O'Donnell. When the Bad Guy list is mostly checked off, DHS/ICE/DOJ will start visiting those illegals who did not or could not self-deport and offer assistance.

This time around his first acts included

- appointing a cabinet whose primary allegiance is to Israel
- strongarming a budget increase for the pentagon (which is a far bigger cesspit of dirty money than USAID ever was)
- threatening to sponsor a primary challenge to Thomas Massie becuase he wanted to reduce spending (and because he doesn't take money from AIPAC)
- appointing a serial government slush fund parasite (Musk) to be in charge of government slush fund efficiency.
How long should I give him?
The answer is that it doesn't matter, because he has no intention whatsoever of reducing spending. He will instead shout about reducing spending very loudly, while actually increasing it.
Most in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, I believe have adopted the attitude of just sitting tight and riding out the next four years until democrats get in again and everyone's sinecures are once again safe. Ultimately, they're there for personal enrichment and the perks and privileges their office affords them, and pretty much nothing else.

I am sure that Kash Patel can oversee some amazing congressional hearings, producing all sorts of salacious stuff. But we all know what the results of congressional hearings are: Bupkiss. I seriously would love to see a list of illegal activity admitted to or uncovered in congressional hearings where the person was actually held to account. Seems that rarely if ever happens. They seem to be mere shows, from what I can tell.
I won't hold my breath that any of these big reveals shake out - but of course, it would be nice if they did.
The thing about James O'Keefe's "going dark" is that if you were gonna do that, why not reveal the people first? I mean... once they are revealed, that kind of limits what they can do to you because now they would be in the spotlight. Over the years having gone down endless rabbit holes, I witnessed so many people just about to reveal HUGE nefarious info, like Cory Feldman, but they stop short of naming names and usually recant or in Isaac Kappy's case, get disposed of. It always amazes me that STILL no names come out. Or if they do, it's laughed at and called "conspiracy theory." So, I am going to stay skeptical about that too, esp. given O'Keefe's past shennanigans.

So many are lawyers with no real world skills to base problem-solving on. Congress is worthless for what the FF wanted them to be. So, being worthless, they have passed most of their powers to the executive branch and now to the judicial branch. I believe their approval rating is about 17%, well deserved, but nothing is being done about it.

Eliminate elections. Congressional service becomes a national lottery similar to that of jury duty. If you are a net taxpaying citizen you could be drafted for mandatory public service in the Congress. One bi-annual legislative session. Balance the budget, fund the necessary departments, go home to a job.
No more elections. No more lobbyists. No more campaign contributions. No more full time Congress-critters.

In 1981 I was an intern in Kapenguria, Kenya (end of the highway) and found an entire village market booth devoted to Nestle infant formula. There was no electricity and questionable water in the remote village but Nestle had managed to get out there with the motto "Be modern and use infant formula. Myself and others talked the village leaders to at least pull down the posters in the booth and let the women continue breast feeding. It was just one of big biz preying on the population. The vast majority of Biden's deportations were returns at the border. Since there were as many as 300,000 "encounters" per month at the border, there were many returns. Lately, the number of border encounters has dropped to tens per day, so very few returns at the border. As Homan and Noem have stated repeatedly, the current focus is to detain and deport violent, criminal illegal aliens. This prioritizes the safety of the citizens and legal residents. They have a list of names since most of them have undergone due process before and most have been deported before and have illegally returned (raising the violation to felony status). Meanwhile, the admin is asking other illegals to self-deport to avoid future legal problems. Hard to say how successful self-deportation is, but one happy success was the self-deportation of Rosie O'Donnell. When the Bad Guy list is mostly checked off, DHS/ICE/DOJ will start visiting those illegals who did not or could not self-deport and offer assistance.

- appointing a cabinet whose primary allegiance is to Israel
- strongarming a budget increase for the pentagon (which is a far bigger cesspit of dirty money than USAID ever was)
- threatening to sponsor a primary challenge to Thomas Massie becuase he wanted to reduce spending (and because he doesn't take money from AIPAC)
- appointing a serial government slush fund parasite (Musk) to be in charge of government slush fund efficiency.
How long should I give him?
The answer is that it doesn't matter, because he has no intention whatsoever of reducing spending. He will instead shout about reducing spending very loudly, while actually increasing it.
Most in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, I believe have adopted the attitude of just sitting tight and riding out the next four years until democrats get in again and everyone's sinecures are once again safe. Ultimately, they're there for personal enrichment and the perks and privileges their office affords them, and pretty much nothing else.

A Constitutional Republic can only survive with and function for a moral people. Americans lost their morality decades ago. Perhaps even when old Abe Lincoln made war against the southern states over slavery and ended up killing hundreds of thousands, if not millions. Then came W Wilson and his wife Edith.
