Many kids contemplated suicide, and many took that route, I'm sure. There was a website something like "Student Loan Debt - Real Stories", that I used to read occasionally. Thousands of distraught kids posted their own stories, many calling it the greatest mistake they'd ever made.
One kid had his father co-sign for his college loan and said the only reason he was alive was that he couldn't bear the thought of his father losing everything he'd worked for, if he committed suicide. Reading it made me cry, and there were plenty of others.
You know who got pissed? The auto industry and the homebuilding industry. These kids were and are saddled with so much debt that they'll never be able to buy new cars or new houses. They'll never get their pound of flesh, because the lenders and colleges got to the kids first.

I went from almost a cripple to basically being able to do about anything that my 73 year old body can handle. I did it about 7 or 8 years ago. I scheduled the first one in early June and the 2nd one in late July and by late August I was able to get around without a cane or help from a walker. Got back on the tractor and would have gotten back on the horses but.....my old back is keeping me from that. No pain in my knees at all.
Good Luck but......make sure you do the rehab. It is painful but has to be done. Make sure they give you plenty of pain meds so you can push real hard in rehab. My brother would not do his rehab because it hurt and now he cannot even bend his knees 90 degrees.

The “victims” in the Epstein drama were predominantly teenage who were paid - and their families as well - huge amounts of money lured by the promise of a jet-set lifestyle, endless parties with rich and famous men. The church I used to partake of teaches that God cannot violate his own law. Freedom of choice is a core tenet of his plan of salvation. The church I used to involve myself in also talked about "fore ordination" meaning certain individuals were ordained to be certain "leaders" or important people before they even were born into this life. Just a theory of mine and don't intend to suggest this applies to everyone. I was born in the last 60s boomer years, have watched many older friends / cousins fall into the broad Marxist umbrella of "the govt will take care of me"...and then it becomes generational.

Opened flood gates for lenders (who originated the loans) and servicers. Colleges follow suit by raising tuitions to catch some of the government insured helicopter tuition money (that's now available to the kids).
The lenders got their origination fees but passed off the risk to "investors". Just like the MBS (mortgage-backed securities) in the housing bubble market, SLABS (student loan asset-backed securities) - student loans were bundled and then divided into tranches based on comparable risk profiles. When the kids default on the loans (or their loans are forgiven) the investors take it on the chin, not the banks. Serves the predators right. At least in the (planned) housing collapse, there was maybe a 50% haircut, because there was hard asset collateral (a house) to take back.

One kid had his father co-sign for his college loan and said the only reason he was alive was that he couldn't bear the thought of his father losing everything he'd worked for, if he committed suicide. Reading it made me cry, and there were plenty of others.
You know who got pissed? The auto industry and the homebuilding industry. These kids were and are saddled with so much debt that they'll never be able to buy new cars or new houses. They'll never get their pound of flesh, because the lenders and colleges got to the kids first.

I went from almost a cripple to basically being able to do about anything that my 73 year old body can handle. I did it about 7 or 8 years ago. I scheduled the first one in early June and the 2nd one in late July and by late August I was able to get around without a cane or help from a walker. Got back on the tractor and would have gotten back on the horses but.....my old back is keeping me from that. No pain in my knees at all.
Good Luck but......make sure you do the rehab. It is painful but has to be done. Make sure they give you plenty of pain meds so you can push real hard in rehab. My brother would not do his rehab because it hurt and now he cannot even bend his knees 90 degrees.

Dennis is partially right, God is not omnipresent in human affairs, He allows mankind the freedom of choice and non-interference. Those expecting Godly interference in human affairs will be disappointed, IMHO. Like a true father, God gives us a model for behavior and morality, it is up to humanity to “Do unto others”. The church I used to partake of teaches that God cannot violate his own law. Freedom of choice is a core tenet of his plan of salvation. If God intervenes he violates his own law and he becomes a liar and if God is a liar God loses the confidence and faith of his subjects/children. Thus, it could be deduced that God is not all powerful because God must be subject to his own law.
Hence the reason that God permits terrible things to happen to innocent and righteous people and hence the reason that evil thrives in this world.

The church I used to involve myself in also talked about "fore ordination" meaning certain individuals were ordained to be certain "leaders" or important people before they even were born into this life. I always had a very difficult time with this concept. Why? Because it meant that only a few were destined for greatness while the main body of the membership, frankly, suck. It always stinks of favoritism on behalf of God. It's hard to have faith in a God that plays favorites or is a respecter of persons. It also told us that our paths are set, that we have no choice, that we cannot determine our own destiny. Never sat well with me.
The older I become the greater the disdain I have for organized religion. Especially religions that have a "strong man" who is entitled to "revelation" that the rest of us schmucks are not entitled to. "Look to me for your salvation" says the strong man, and "make sure you put a healthy donation in the tithing envelope." No thanks. The whole concept has become old to me.
