I do not believe that a future USA led consortium would make states out of countries, it might be that states in the US may form into “countries” according to common values. If Trumpian values continue, it may get interesting.
In the meantime, Alberta is continuing it referendum to see if they want to put up with the Ottawa, hence English bloodsucker any more. I predict a nasty fight here as the western part of Canada goes into sedition.

However, like Kunstler, they looked me up at customs using my license plate and saw that I, too, had an indiscretion back in my college days in Eugene, OR. Who didn't from the UofO? Anyway, after the same rude customs folks, it was determined I could only stay in Canada for three days and only if I coughed up $275. That bought me a 3-day citizenship (I think). If it hadn't been for the fact my wife had to go to a meetings, we would've taken the next ferry back to Port Angeles! Canada has only gotten much worse since then.
