He knows there is nothing in there that harms him personally or politically, because had there been, his political opponents would have found some way to leak it out already. I'm more upset over his announced support for 600,000 Chinese "students" (i.e., spies) and h-1B visas rather than turning to our native population to solve our problems. I understand that we may no longer have the cream of the intellectual crop after decades of intentional dumbing-down and demotivating of our own children, but bringing in yet more foreigners whose only desire is to feast on the corpse of our nation isn't the way to go.

Now that Trump has publicly announced his support to release "all the Epstein files", there are a number of alternative rationales for his previous behavior. One, he was setting up a "tar baby" trap for some democrat/rino political opponents whose names may now appear. That's one of those "5D Chess" theories that are probably too far-fetched to be true. Two, he was trying to protect one or more political allies, either domestic or foreign but has now realized that by doing so he was losing too much political capital so has now decided to quit and let the chips fall. Three, he has determined that congress won't put together a majority in favor of release if put to a vote, so he has no reason to take the flack over this issue. He knows there is nothing in there that harms him personally or politically, because had there been, his political opponents would have found some way to leak it out already. I don't care one way or another. I'm more upset over his announced support for 600,000 Chinese "students" (i.e., spies) and h-1B visas rather than turning to our native population to solve our problems.
