My read is that Trump has a team of top-notch legal beagles that are orchestrating Trump's agenda from behind the curtain (gaming the system like the DNC has been doing for decades), and I assume working with, or embedded in The Heritage Foundation and/or Project 2025. Yesterday a woman in her late 60's (she told me) breezed into my small shop with her "No Kings" flier. She handed it to me and said she was, "doing something for the community" and wasn't there to shop.

Today I read Oregon has a budget of $1.2 billion for free healthcare for illegal immigrants ("non citizens" they're called) and meanwhile the Oregon State Police budget is $717 million.

Two weeks ago my wife and I were in one of our favorite towns to visit. It's a small southern university town with a picturesque downtown of historic buildings and homes dating back to the 1700s. People sit along the main street in front of coffee shops and bakeries and talk with the passerby. Charming, relaxed, laid back and full of interesting people. While we sat at the bakery here comes a group of geriatrics who appeared to be making a pilgramage to the local funeral home to surrender themselves. But no, they stop in the town square to pull out their signs of protest, including several proclaiming "86 Trump". They all had on their nastiest faces , scowling, frowning, just looking like the most miserable people ever. It was a hot day and as one would guess soon one fell to the ground passing out from the heat, others were wiping their brow and in a matter of minutes their planned protest dissembled and they tottered off, many with the aid of walkers.
Back in June we were in the lovely town of Sonoma California, (scenery is lovely the people aren't) , and we saw the exact same scene play out.
I'm sure this "No Kings Day", whatever that means, will be much the same.

Yesterday a woman in her late 60's (she told me) breezed into my small shop with her "No Kings" flier. She handed it to me and said she was, "doing something for the community" and wasn't there to shop.

Later on after the "No Kings" woman left and I closed up I noticed someone hovering around my bike parked in front. They then tried to peer through the front door to see if anyone was inside. I quickly pulled back the curtain to see a short Hispanic man looking back at me. He quickly moved on.
Today I read Oregon has a budget of $1.2 billion for free healthcare for illegal immigrants ("non citizens" they're called) and meanwhile the Oregon State Police budget is $717 million.

Two weeks ago my wife and I were in one of our favorite towns to visit. It's a small southern university town with a picturesque downtown of historic buildings and homes dating back to the 1700s. People sit along the main street in front of coffee shops and bakeries and talk with the passerby. Charming, relaxed, laid back and full of interesting people. While we sat at the bakery here comes a group of geriatrics who appeared to be making a pilgramage to the local funeral home to surrender themselves. But no, they stop in the town square to pull out their signs of protest, including several proclaiming "86 Trump". They all had on their nastiest faces , scowling, frowning, just looking like the most miserable people ever. It was a hot day and as one would guess soon one fell to the ground passing out from the heat, others were wiping their brow and in a matter of minutes their planned protest dissembled and they tottered off, many with the aid of walkers.
Back in June we were in the lovely town of Sonoma California, (scenery is lovely the people aren't) , and we saw the exact same scene play out.
I'm sure this "No Kings Day", whatever that means, will be much the same.

Thank you. I’m sure many of the people I described are today lying in bed recuperating from their misguided “ No Kings”, Soros financed day. That 15 minutes in the sun nearly killed them. We made sure we avoided any area where this foolish event would take place.
Living in Tampa Florida, we drove over to Pass-A-Grille Beach to enjoy a dockside dinner. This guy pulls up to dock with a huge Trump flag waving from his vessel, he received, not jeers and cursing, but applause and appreciation. Enough to make a lefty crap their pants.

Jim Crow was instituted as a moderate policy that was the only way that large populations of blacks and whites, living in close proximity, could co-exist. It was benevolent of whites to grant blacks a parallel society.

In my neighborhood there are clusters of signs. It's almost as if one radicalized neighbor has convinced those around them to follow suit and declare themselves for the latest "thing". It seems to spread like a virus.

It’s pretty weird, isn’t it? JHK used to be really effective at cleverly dissecting our unsustainable, angst-ridden, sprawling, soul-crushing auto-dependent society … but then about a decade ago he went down some weird MAGA conspiracy theories rabbit hole and became the quintessential Grumpy Old Man, shaking his fist at passing clouds and self-righteously ridiculing anybody who doesn’t think and look a lot like him. (Because an America with an actual diversity of opinions, music, fashion, food, languages and politics would be sheer hell, wouldn’t it?)
It’s hard to imagine that anyone actually enjoys being in Kunstler’s company any more. Perhaps that’s why he’s become so bitter about — well, everything. It’s gotta really suck to be Jim.
That is a very thoughtful critique. I believe Jim to be near the extreme end in open-mindedness and I, therefore, like to think that he will reflect on your well-stated opinions.
