A "No Kings" rally is scheduled in my little Ct hometown for Saturday 9:00-10:30 am on the historic Town Green. I'll be taking a walk over to see what it's all about. I don't expect much violence or vandalism as the only structure extant is a 200 year old school building that's been tastefully converted into an Art Museum and a small gazebo used for Memorial Day ceremonies. This sort of overt political activity is a new thing here; the first time I witnessed it was about 5 years ago when George Floyd's death was an issue (even tho the town is 99% White) I suspect I'll see the same people who were out demonstrating for St. George 5 years ago, 'Acrivist' suburban women, politicized high school students, a few cuck men, and a handful old older ladies. Also I wouldn't be surprised if a handful of "Undocumented Citizens" are trucked out from Hartford as Guests of Honor and to give the whole event "Color" and authenticity. About a decade ago the local Unitarian church brought out an 'Immigrant Family' from Honduras and put them up in an old Colonial house within sight of the Town Green; within 3 weeks the house burned to the ground. Thank God everybody got out alive. To. be sure, that unhappy event won't get much attention during Saturday's No King's Rally.
Meanwhile, last week a law was passed compelling every town in the state to build Section 8 housing & and begin accepting fellow citizens from Hartford. Bridgeport, New Haven etc. Also, preparations continue for the massive 'Pride Parade' in Middletown.

A "No Kings" rally is scheduled in my little Ct hometown for Saturday 9:00-10:30 am on the historic Town Green. I'll be taking a walk over to see what it's all about. I don't expect much violence or vandalism as the only structure extant is a 200 year old school building that's been tastefully converted into an Art Museum and a small gazebo used for Memorial Day ceremonies. This sort of overt political activity is a new thing here; the first time I witnessed it was about 5 years ago when George Floyd's death was an issue (even tho the town is 99% White) I suspect I'll see the same people who were out demonstrating for St. George 5 years ago, 'Acrivist' suburban women, politicized high school students, a few cuck men, and a handful old older ladies. Also I wouldn't be surprised if a handful of "Undocumented Citizens" are trucked out from Hartford as Guests of Honor and to give the whole event "Color" and authenticity. About a decade ago the local Unitarian church brought out an 'Immigrant Family' from Honduras and put them up in an old Colonial house within sight of the Town Green; within 3 weeks the house burned to the ground. Thank God everybody got out alive. To. be sure, that unhappy event won't get much attention during Saturday's No King's Rally.
Meanwhile, last week a law was passed compelling every town in the state to build Section 8 housing & and begin accepting fellow citizens from Hartford. Bridgeport, New Haven etc. Also, preparations continue for the massive 'Pride Parade' in Middletown.

My sources in local law enforcement tell me that counter-demonstrators are primed to make their feelings known and local LEOs are not well disposed to the "No Kings" side of the conflict. The last time we had something like this, back in the BLM days, the local counter-demonstrators showed up visibly armed and the demonstratioin went off very peacefully and just fizzled out. Probaby gonna be a repeat of that tomorrow. We hope, at any rate.
