Quackery is CURRENTLY flourishing, except most people do not recognize it, since these medical practices have become sanctioned, legally and in people's minds, through medical licensing, "FDA approval", bogus "medical standards of care" and so forth. This process is going to be unwound, as medical orthodoxy goes out the window and people discover what actually works, is beneficial, and is economical. Of course, it won't all happen in a straight line, but this is the overall direction I see.

The modern side of the global bell curve of technocracy is being set up for quite a shock when AI technology drops out for a millisecond. I still recall my fascination while I worked in cubicle-hell last century when the server and/or power went out: Everyone just stood around and waited for it to come back. They were completely incapable of doing anything. When, not if, the AI infrastructure takes a dump (fka "blue screen of death") and has to be reset is when your most depressing predictions will unfold in a domino cascade. 2026 seems like a good year for that to happen.
